"Everybody get the hell up!" I heard a voice call out followed by loud ringing.
I haven't had this kind of wake up call since the first month of living with Bruce. He would have had to roll me off the bed before I could even open an eye. All the doors in the cell block opened and I saw several security guards walk by my door. I quickly got out of bed and walked outside into the hallway,
"Surprise cell inspection!" One of the guards called out, followed by several groans.
I stood outside my door and looked over to see Harley standing outside of her cell looking at me with a large smile. I raised my eyebrow and looked away as I saw a guard walk into my room,
"What the fuck happened in here!" He yelled and i swore under my breath, realizing that my 'food art' was still on my walls.
The guard walked out and grabbed me by the back of the neck and yanked me into my room. He forcefully made me look at the food splattered wall,
"What is this!" He yelled into my ear.
The rest of the cell block fell silent, waiting for my response,
"Art," I shrugged, knowing this was not a good time to be my sarcastic self, "You might see differently, but it's art, man." I said and heard a few chuckles from my cellmates.
"Stupid kid." The guard scoffed and threw me onto my bed. His radio beeped and he started speaking into it, "We're going to need maintenance in cell block B." He said and walked out of my cell.
After the guy left, someone came into my room and cuffed me to my bed, then stood beside me. I let out a sigh and a few minutes later, the maintenance people came in and scrubbed the food off of my wall. The guy uncuffed me and walked out of me cell, slamming the door behind him.
The time was about 9:30 am, 13 more hours until i get out of this shit hole.
--
I woke up after hearing a large banging sound coming from the room next to mine. I stumbled out of my bed and walked up to the door, trying to see what was happening through the small window.
The hallways were dark and the sounds of screams filled the room, just a normal night,
"Back away." I heard a voice say and i backed away from my door,
The door opened up and i saw Harley standing there with a wide grin,
"Come on let's get the hell out of here." She laughed and grabbed my hand to pull me out of my cell.
I closed my cell door behind me and we rounded a corner and stopped when Dr. Park stood in front of us,
"Oh shit." I mumbled and took a step back,
"What are you two doing out of your cell?" She asked, her face turning from a surprised look to a serious one.
Harley and Dr. Park looked at each other and then both let out a laugh. I stood there, confused looking at the two,
"What?" I asked
"I'm your way out, follow me, I know a good way out." Park said and walked down the empty hallway.
I looked at Harley and she just shrugged and pulled me along,
"What about all the cameras and guards?" I asked as she pulled me along,
"They are slacking here, an outsider like you might not have been able to tell. All the cameras are down and security was cut down. A rookie can bust out of here if they wanted to." Harley said and tugged me into Parks office.
