My breathing hitched and my whole body was burning with pain. Bruce helped me out of the Batmobile and walked me over to a medical type area. Nothing fancy like what a normal hospital would have. There was about three machines and a glass cabinet full of what looked like the basic supplies.
I draped my arm around Bruce's shoulder as he helped me walk over to the area, I made sure not to apply to much pressure to my knee. I wonder what Jason was doing. Has he noticed I was gone?is he out looking for me? What would his reaction be if he knew I was here?
Bruce layed me down on a medical table and I sat up,
"I'll get Alfred. Stay here and don't move." He said and ran off towards the wall of computer monitors.
I layed my head back and quietly groaned in pain. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Bruce running back to me,
"He'll be here soon, sit tight." He said, a little worry in his voice.
I nodded and waited for the ding of the elevator and sure enough, I heard it. I held my head up and saw Alfred rushing over to Bruce and I. He had on what he usually would wear, a black suit with some type of bow tie. His suit jacket was nowhere to be seen and his sleeves of his white button up shirt was rolled up to his elbows. He was loosing his bow tie as he walked over.
He sat down in a swirly chair and rolled over to me,
"Its great to see you again, master Warner," He started, putting on some rubber gloves, "Let's see what I can do."
Alfred looked over at Bruce and Bruce nodded. Bruce took off his batman mask and set it down on a table. He looked over at me then flickered his eyes to the ground. He walked away and started to head into a random direction.
I layed my head back and Alfred started on the operation.
-Time Skip-
Alfred finished up and stood up from his chair. He helped me sit up so my legs fell from over the side of the table,
"All patched up," Alfred said, a small smile appearing on his mustached face, "Lucky for you the psycho didn't break your knee. Nothing too serious, you won't be walking for a while but you'll be alright. Make sure to change the bandages on your shoulder at least once every... 7 hours. You'll have a few scars but you'll be okay."
I nodded, my eyes flicking over to Bruce who was sitting on a flipped over trash can. His eyes didn't seem to be focused on anything. He was still in his batsuit, which looked a little weird because he wasn't wearing his mask; not used to seeing him like this,
"Thanks Alfred." I managed to say, putting my focus back on Alfred,
"Its not a problem, sir, I'm just glad your back, now if you'll excuse me," Alfred said, looking over at Bruce, "I think you two have some talking to do. I'll be at the entrance to the cave waiting for the others." He said, taking off his medical gloves and walking away.
Once Alfred was out of sight, I looked over at Bruce, who had an apologetic look on his face,
"Others?" I asked, slightly cocking my head to the side,
"Dick and Damian, they went out on patrol a little while back. They should be back soon." Bruce stated and broke his steady eye contact with me for a second, "So uh who have you been staying with?"
I opened my mouth but paused to think, unsure if I should tell him about Jason and Kayla, "with a few friends." I finally said, looking down,
