"Ready?" he asked, as we stood hand in hand in front of the double doors. I nodded.
Casey pushed one of the doors open and lead me inside. My mouth fell. It was beautiful. As you walked in there was a massive open space with two stair cases that joined onto a landing in the middle. There was a long corridor either side at the top of the staircase and the walls had multiple doors on them, which I figured were living spaces. At the top of the staircase, where either side met in the middle, there was a set of double doors that had above it: Alpha's quarters. Either side of me and Casey where we stood in the middle of the foyer was two long corridors that had doors all the way down and at the end of each was a staircase.
"Wow." I breathed, looking around. "It's beautiful."
Casey chuckled. "It was designed by my great, great, great grandfather and we all tweaked our own style into it here and there. I myself designed the whole alpha block. Before, the alpha and Luna had their own house but I wanted to be close to the pack." Casey had a proud smile on his face. "As the pack grew, so did the pack house."
I smiled. I had the feeling I would like it here. Casey tugged me in the direction of the stair case. "You'll love the Alpha's quarters."
Indeed I did. There was five different doors as we walked in. The foyer here was a lot smaller but was still big enough to fit at least thirty people in. It was simple. Above each of the five doors was a title. The first two rooms that were right in front of me were the 'Alphas office' and 'Luna's office'. The room to our left was titled 'Alphas and Luna's bedroom' and the one to the right was 'Alpha's offspring'. The last room didn't have a door it was just an arch way that led into a sitting room and this was titled 'Alpha's and Luna's family lounge'
" Alphas offspring?" I questioned.
"You don't want kids?" Casey asked, looking slightly worried.
"Well I have no choice now but no not that, the name." I chuckled.
"Oh my beta, Zed, carved the name plates and decided it would be funny to put that on there." he replied. "Anyway, shall we?" he asked, pointing to the bedroom.
"Sure."
He opened the door and my mouth fell open again. The room was humongous. Three of the walls were a lovely chalky white and the last wall was a huge panelled window with black joins, that overlooked a beautiful garden. The drapes were a simple but charming grey and billowed in the wind from one of the windows being open. The carpet was soft under my bare feet and was a beautiful, silver. The bed was a lovely, mahogany sleigh bed and was dressed with same charming grey colour as the drapes . Either side of the bed was a mahogany nightstand with a dark grey lamp. And at the left side of the bed was a door which ,more than likely, led into a walk in closet. At the right side of the bed was where me and Casey were stood at the entrance.
"Yeah my favourite colours are white and grey. Which I guess aren't really colours," Casey said, scratching the back of his neck.
"Really? Mine too. This room is like my dream room." I said in awe.
"Well, I guess dreams do come true," he said with a big smile. "Go take a shower if you want or a bath."
I looked at him confused. "There is no bathroom"
He laughed. "It's through there" he said pointing to the door that I thought was a closet. "And in there is another room which is the closet" he finished. I felt a blush coming on and Casey chuckled.
"It's like a damned maze in here!" I exclaimed.
"You'll get the hang of it, don't worry."
I nodded and walked into the bathroom.
"Woah" I breathed as I took it all in. I flicked the lock on the door and walked around the room. "This sure makes my little box en suite look small," I murmured to myself as I ran my hand over the counter.
The bathroom was the size of a medium size bedroom. There was two sinks next to each other on a marble counter, a huge Jacuzzi bath tub and a large shower. The shower had glass walls surrounding it and all of the fixtures were black and elegant looking. There was a hand shower as well as a large waterfall shower head. The shower was on the left side of the room as I walked in the door and directly in front of the door was the two sinks. On the right side of the room was the tub which also had black fittings in uniform with the shower. There was a large floor space in the middle of the room with a large stool that had storage slots underneath the seat. The floor was a simple white tile, and the walls were a white and black honey comb tile. The entire bathroom was amazing, modern and I loved it. As promised there was a door at the very back of the bathroom which lead into a sizeable closet too.
I took a hot, relaxing shower and after my shower we spent the rest of the evening walking around the house, watched some TV and just hung out. Everything seemed to be going okay and everything went by pretty well for the the rest of the week although I still hadn't gotten used to the house and never left Casey's side, scared of getting lost.
One week later:
I was having a nice refreshing shower when there was a knock on the door. "Annabelle?" Casey called from the other side.
"Yes?"
"I need to go to a meeting. Apparently there was a rouge problem while I was gone. Are you going to be okay on your own? I can send one of my friends up if you want?" he rambled.
"No, its okay. I'm fine," I heard him hesitate and sigh.
"Okay" he said. "I'll be back as soon as I can. Help yourself to anything you need"
"Thanks"
I heard his footsteps retreat away and the bedroom door shut. This was when I realised that this was the first time I had been alone since we arrived. I sighed and tried not to panic. Once I felt calm enough, I walked into the closet and picked out a pair of black jeans and a mustard coloured woolly sweater. I threw on some black converse and walked out into the room.
"What am I going to do?" I asked to no one in particular. "I suppose I could try and navigate my way to the kitchen, I mean I am pretty hungry," I smiled to myself.
"I guess I'm going on a little adventure"
