Sitting in the van, my eyes stay glued to the screens. Stay safe bhaiya, I keep repeating over and over again.
Walid had been let out on a quiet street near Kew Bridge Station. There were only five ShakeAway shops within London, which meant that it was likely the culprit be within 20miles radius.
Sam had gotten a lead from the Kingston branch where a customer matched the criteria given. We'd been given a description, with one of Sam's acquaintances keeping an eye on the whereabouts of the potential culprit. And currently we were parked just outside of Kew Gardens.
"What if Walid can't find him?" I can't help but ask. Sarah was sat next to me, and we both had kept pretty quiet all this time.
"He should be able to. We'll send you in if we need to."
"But Walid said he didn't want me,"
"We'll see," Leanna says, then silence consumes again.
We watch through the cameras on Walid's body, as the sun starts to set, he walks through the many trees, towards a massive glasshouse. Once he enters the glasshouse, all we can see if green leaves. Muttering can be heard nearby, he carefully finds the spiral staircase and walks up it, trying not to touch the banister.
Walid's POV
Creeping up the staircase my ears tune into some noise. I try to get closer without looking suspicious, finding two men leaning against the railings.
The two seemed to be bickering. Throwing hands all over the place and sometimes throwing in a shoulder punch. It seemed very heated."Look," the tall one says, "I need her."
"No you don't, can't you just leave her alone? What about all the other girls you've played with? Why don't you go back to them?"
"C'mon, you know that I can't go back to them,"
"Aleem, you know you can, you just don't want to,"
"True, you know me very well," he smirks before the other one walks away. Aleem is left standing, pondering over their latest engagement. I follow the other guy with my eyes to see him going down the spiral staircase, he doesn't notice me as I managed to hide myself behind some leaves. After, I try to follow in his footsteps, going down the staircase once again and then finding him by the main entrance talking to a guy dressed all in black.
