"Walid," I whisper, sneaking into his room

"Walid," I whisper, sneaking into his room. It was pitch black and I had to feel around to get a sense of spacial awareness. "Bhaiya, Walid Bhai, wake up." I try to push him out of bed but he manages to grip onto my wrists and pushes me onto his bed instead.

"What is wrong with you Eliza," he grunts, trying to look for the time.

"It's 2am if you're wondering."

"What are you doing awake at this time?"

"Um if you hadn't noticed that I was asleep ALL of last afternoon, then maybe you wouldn't be asking."

"Okay," he says, turning on his bedside lamp and then turns to see my face. "Then why did you wake me up?"

I fiddle with my fingers, "I know you said that you and Wasim don't like what I'm doing-"

"Shit, you remember that?" I frown.

"Language mister. And yes, I can't believe you exposed that to Wasim, Sam is going to get annoyed."

"I'm sorry, but I had to. You know how worried we get over you," he says softly.

"You guys are amazing brothers, honestly, but this overprotectiveness- nah it's kinda annoying sometimes." Walid playfully punches me in the arm, which I happily return with a pinch.

"Ouch."

"Bro, Sam called earlier... He wants us all to go. They think they're on to something." Walid frowns.

"Eliza, I don't know." He begins to say. "I don't think you should be involved anymore."

"What?!"

"Shh, you'll wake everyone up."

"Bhaiya, you know how much this means to me."

"Lil sis, I know you want justice for Mahira. But you also have to think about your own safety. And look at your health, maa tells me that you've fainted three times in the past few weeks, and all of this has been happening since this spying business has started. Imagine if maa and baba found out about this, you're lucky I let you, but this... This isn't right," he rants. I can feel my eyes start to tear up.

"They were coincidences,"

"Eliza," he says, and I gulp. He's starting to get annoyed. "You're not to spy for a week, until we come up with an agreement. But we will go to that meeting." I nod, not liking how this was going. Not going to lie but I've started to enjoy the guys companies. I mean one of them is probably the murderer, but I still have two others I can still socialise with. After this all finishes that is, but then again Walid and Wasim will go overprotective on me and stop any guys from speaking to me.

"Are you going to bring Wasim Bhai to the meeting?" I ask, not meeting his eyes. He knows that I'm annoyed with him.

"Yes," he sighs, "he's involved from now on. Oh and Sarah? I don't want her to be involved in this either." I raise my eyebrows.
