Chapter 13

It's been a while. Pasensya na po. H'wag na po kayo magtampo. There are just a lot of changes and I need to adjust accordingly. Things didn't come out handy, so that's what happened. Also stress is a killer. -_- But don't worry, I'm trying to fight back. For how long, I don't know. So please cheer me up. I need your comforting words right now. [I'm so kawawa!:( ] Two chapters has been posted for you tonight. It's not enough to make it up to you, guys. But this is better than nothing (and you have to agree with me. lol) Enjoy!

Chapter 13

"Careful." Mabilis na hinawakan ni Jake ang kanang braso ni Jasmine para alalayan ito.

Napangiti naman ang dalaga at nagpasalamat. Huminto sila nang makarating sa isang malinis na parte ng lugar.

"Wow, this is beautiful!" Jasmine said in amazement.

"You like it?"

Tumango sya. "Your client picked up the best location."

Tulad kasi ng napag-usapan, pumunta sila sa site ni Jake somewhere in Laguna para icheck iyon. Eksakto naman na weekend at wala din naman naiisip na gawin si Jasmine kaya sumama sya. Besides, gusto nya rin makita ang side ng mundo ng binata.

"I wasn't actually expecting that you'd like this place. I'm sure if I brought somebody else, I would gain a lot of whining at baka hindi pa kami nakakarating dito nag-aaya na sila umuwi."

"And you're talking about your girls, right?" Jasmine asked, half amused.

Napakamot ang binata sa batok at alanganing ngumit. "But I'm glad you like it."

Inilinga uli ng dalaga ang paningin sa paligid. The place was surely far from the city. Tanging mga nagtataasang puno lamang ang naroon sa paligid at makakapal na damo. Maaari ding mawala ang kung sino mang pupunta sa lugar na iyon kung hindi nito kabisado ang daan. But one thing that made the place special is the beautiful lake in front of them.

"What made your client think to have their home build here?" tanong ng dalaga nang makaupo na sila sa inilatag na picnic mat. Jake was prepared enough to bring one. Hindi naman kasi nito idiniscribe sa kanya ang hitsura ng pupuntahang lugar. She didn't even bother to ask. Inaasahan nya rin kasi na sa isang subdivision sila pupunta. Good thing, she decided to wear comfortable clothes - sweatpants and a shirt.

"First is the location. It's peaceful in here. Masarap tumira sa ganitong lugar. Don't you think so?" bahagya pa siyang nilingon nito.

"I couldn't disagree. But I'm thing about their safety. I mean, wala man lang sila ditong magiging kapitbahay. This is far from other people. Paano na lang kung may magtangka sa buhay nila?" Sa panahon ngayon, mas importanteng isipin kung safe ba ang lugar na titirhan.

But instead, she heard Jake chuckled.

"What?" nagtatakang tanong nya ditto.

"Nothing. I just didn't expect that you'll ask that. But don't worry. We got those things covered. Hindi naman basta pipili ang client ng location nang hindi nila napag-aaralan." Jake said reassuringly.

"If you say so..." she answered with a shrug. "E kelan magsisimula ang construction nito?"

"May inaasikaso lang kaming papeles and once it's settled, we'll start right away. We have a timeline to meet so probably, that would be two weeks from now."

"So that means you'll have to stay here, right?" Jasmine didn't understand, but just thinking of it makes her sad.

Gumalaw ang binata mula sa pagkakaupo na naging dahilan nang pagkakadikit ng braso nilang dalawa. Once again, Jasmine felt something electric with the sudden touch. Pasimple na lamang siyang dumistanya dito dahil hindi niya mapigilang hindi madistract.
