The Aftermath

The funeral was hard for everyone. Josh's whole family was there, as was Tyler's. Amelia couldn't even get up and talk at the funeral because she was still in tears. Tyler gave an amazing speech about his best friend and how he wished he could have done more. Momma wasn't talking to anyone she was so upset. The glue that held everyone together and calmed everyone down was gone. How would they survive?

Now a week later:

"Steve hospital now!" Amelia yelled

"Baby time" Steve asked

"I guess" She said grabbing the hospital bag.

   Steve and Luke decided to move to Columbus to help out Amelia. She protested as much as she could but those silly boys would not listen.

     Steve put Isaac into the car seat as Amelia got into the passenger side. The car seat had already been set up for Hayden. Baby number two was on her way.

"Steve?" Amelia asked

"Yes Princess" he said turning his head

"I can't do this" Amelia sighed

"Yes you can I'm right here, Luke will be there when we get there" Steve grinned at his best friend

   Amelia went silent, well besides screaming during contractions. She was immediately rushed into the delivery room since she was dilated enough. Steve was right by her side the whole time nearly fainting when Hayden's head peaked out.

There she was a healthy baby girl. 8 pounds 1 ounce, 20 inches. With squinty eyes like her father and button nose like her mother.

"Steve" Amelia said with tears in her eyes

"Yes princess" he said concerned

"I want her middle name to be something around Josh but her name is already masculine"

"Josie? It's one of his favorite Blink songs and like the female version of his name?"

"Hayden Josie Dun" Amelia grinned for the first time since that night

"There we go" Steve smiled

As the family rolled in and awed over the sweet new baby, Jenna had brought in a laptop.

"AJ I don't know if you want to see this right now but he made a video for Hayden now that she's born" Jenna said nervously

"I want to see it" Amelia said assertively

"Thank you for not being mad at me for not telling you about these" Jenna whispered

"I would do the same JJ, I could never be mad at you after all you've done for us" Amelia grinned

"I just want you to know that I watched this one earlier just to make sure it was good to play around the others and I cried so be prepared" Jenna whispered

Amelia called everyone around the bed with Hayden in her arms. Jenna hit play and it was a puddle of tears from everyone. It was more recent then the first two videos, he filmed this when he made his decision.

"Hey Ahme, you are probably really mad at me for missing such a big day. But Welcome to the World Hayden. At least I hope you kept her name Hayden. This would be awkward. Anyways Hayden you never met me but I'm your dad, you are half me and half your mom. Uhm you can blame me for your squinty eyes and crooked nose but hopefully you get your mothers nose it's really cute. I hope your mom tells you stories about me, and Isaac is going to be an amazing big brother Haydey also don't let him call you Hades. I love you and I really wish I could have met you. Also when your mom tried to dress you and your brother up as an alien and astronaut go with it, it will look so cool when you're 16" Josh said blowing a kiss

"Classic Josh" Tyler laughed

No one besides the kids and Steve had laughed and you could feel the tension getting thinner in the room.

"What" Jenna asked

"Just his awkwardness and jokes" Tyler shrugged

"Your kids have the best nicknames" Steve smiled

"What do you mean?" Luke asked confused

"Ice and Hades, two opposite things" Steve laughed

The room erupted into laughter, smiles filled the room. Maybe they could survive with out Josh, it wouldn't be easy and they sure as hell wouldn't forget him.

"Jenna when is the next video" Amelia asked

"When Ice starts school" Jenna said

Everyone left the room to leave the trio to themselves.

Amelia looked down at her sleeping baby girl and baby boy in the bed next to her and sighed.

"This is going to be a wild 18 years my babies" Amelia said

Years later she would have found out that their wedding papers were lost in the mail and that they were never married. She spent so much time arguing over being called Jones, that she didn't even bother to check. They were so in love that a piece of paper meant nothing to them.

The boy with the squinty eyes and nervous gesture of rubbing his neck. The boy with the colored hair and Taco Bell obsession. The boy with a large movie and Cd collection, the boy she had all of her firsts with. Her first love was gone before their life really started.

Her son would grow up to look just like him, and her daughter who never met him, had his sense of humor and smile.

And she would never forget the times she had with the boy, she told every story multiple times until her kids could repeat them. She never remarried her heart had already been taken by the boy.

The videos kept coming for every situation and she looked forward to every milestone in their children's lives.

That boy was Josh Dun and She was Amelia Jones-Dun.

This is it. I hope you guys enjoyed this and the whole of the story. I'm taking a break for a few weeks to write the next story and it's turning out good.

I want to thank you guys so much. This past year has been amazing, the first book as of today April 28, 2016 has 44.8k reads. I wouldn't be where I am now without you, my amazing reader. You guys have seen my writing grow the past year, you've dealt with the cringeyness of the first book. Posting these chapters are the most nerve wracking thing ever, (fellow writers you understand) I'm always nervous if you guys will like them as much as I do. I may be able to write a chapter in a day but I go a whole week looking over it to see if I truly like it enough to put out there. Being on a schedule has really helped me write more.My goal this year was to update every Friday which I've successfully done, it may not have been this book but I updated one of my many projects every Friday or Thursday if I'm anxious . Thank you
