I am still half asleep when Tyler kisses me goodbye before leaving for morning skate. I am surprised I didn't wake up when he woke up. I didn't even hear his alarm go off. As soon as he leaves the dogs come running into the bedroom and jump up on the bed and settle down next to me. I lie on my back and read some emails on my phone. Ever since Sony Pictures bought my picture I have gotten a few offers from smaller production companies on some of my other work to use them in various independent films. I have considered getting myself an agent to handle these requests but I think I have been doing a pretty good job of figuring it out on my own. I did take some business courses in college so I feel like I'm pretty much an expert.
I finally make myself get out of bed to see if there is any food in the house to make some breakfast out of. I am looking through the empty refrigerator for any signs of anything that's edible. There's nothing really here that I can make an actual meal out of. "What the hell does he eat?" I say out loud to myself as I close the door. AnnMarie joins me in the kitchen. "We are going to have to go out for food. Apparently Tyler eats air."
"Hopefully he didn't leave us with the Ferrari," she says.
"I will murder him if he left us no food and no car," I say as I walk to the door to the garage. I open it and breathe a sigh of relief when I see the Jeep sitting there. "I guess we can take the Jeep."
Amy : Taking the Jeep to get something to eat. We are hungry
"Do you even know where to go?" she asks.
"Tyler drove past this diner when he was showing me around. I just have to Google the address. We'll figure it out," I say. I look down at myself, still in pajamas. "I should probably go get dressed."
After I get dressed and Google diners in Dallas I grab the keys from Tyler's dresser and we head out. The GPS on my phone gets us to the diner with no problem. The Original Market Diner. I saw a few good reviews while I was searching for the address. It should be good, though, it's diner food. I'll just be happy to eat, I am pretty hungry. We walk in to the diner and get seated right away. I look over the menu and decide to go with a Greek omelette.
"You probably need coffee after last night, huh?" AnnMarie asks with a smile.
"Actually yes I do," I reply, "I guess you do too?"
"Just promise me if you go at it tonight you'll have Tyler put a sock in your mouth or something."
I laugh. "Oh my god, I am so sorry. I tried to be quiet, honestly."
"That's ok. We don't have to talk about this. I just like messing with you."
"Maybe he will be too tired from the game to do anything. I'd like to actually sleep tonight honestly."
The waitress comes over and we order our food. While we wait for our food I tell AnnMarie about the emails I got this morning about selling more of my photos to be used in movies. When I started my business I honestly didn't think this would be the way it would go. I have had other buyers but from what I was told the word of mouth going around the different production companies. I am not complaining. I've been trying to get some gallery space to showcase a series of Northern Lights pictures I took but I haven't heard anything back. I feel like a showcase of these photos would really help me sell them. When you see them blown up and in person it makes you appreciate them that much more. Hopefully by the time we get back home I'll hear something.
"That picture Tyler posted of you sleeping with the dogs is adorable," AnnMarie says.
"Thanks. Too bad the comments are full of hate."
"No I think I saw a nice one. Let me see if I can find it," she says as she begins scrolling. "Yeah, here it is. I'm happy you're happy. See, she's happy."
