Tyler's alarm goes off at 6:30am. I groan at the sound of it. Why the hell did I let him sleep here last night? I don't want to be awake at 6:30am. He is going to have a full day of media and press and the skills competition is tonight so he needs to get moving. Tyler wakes up and rubs his eyes. He looks over at me and looks almost surprised. "I slept here last night?" he asks.
"Jesus, you were that drunk you don't even remember coming here?"
"I guess so. Ugh, I'm so tired."
"Well that's because you really only got about an hour and a half of sleep so have fun today trying to stay awake." I'm just a little annoyed and almost hurt that he doesn't remember coming here last night. It means he has no idea he was telling me to move in with him. Maybe he didn't actually mean it.
"Sorry if I woke you." He leans in and kisses me.
"It's ok. You might want to apologize to the rest of the people on this floor too, though."
"Oh god," he says as he puts his head in his hands. "I should get going back to my room and start getting ready."
"Yeah. I guess I won't be seeing you until tomorrow, huh?"
"Probably not. Maybe I'll get drunk tonight and show up at your door," he says with a smirk.
"Please don't."
"I was really that bad?" he asks as he grabs his suit pants and shirt from the closet and starts to put them on.
I put my hands on his chest. "Don't worry about it." He kisses me. "Good luck tonight."
"Thanks. Make sure you tell mom and dad I say hi."
"I will." He hugs me tightly then leaves the room. I get back into bed and go back to sleep.
I wake up just a few hours later and get in the shower to get my day started. I get dressed and sit down on the bed to try to figure out what I am going to do today. The skills competition isn't until later tonight and I don't think I feel like going to the fan fair again. I'm probably going to just stay in my room and watch some TV and relax.
As the day goes on I get more and more hungry. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast this morning. There is a restaurant connected to the lobby so I am thinking of going to get something to eat there. I grab my phone and wallet from the nightstand and head over to the restaurant. I feel a little silly eating by myself but my stomach growling is telling me that it really doesn't matter. I sit down at a table and take a look at the menu to figure out what I am going to have. I'm thinking I might just get a burger but I want to see everything they have to offer.
"All alone?" I look up to see Jonathan Bernier standing at my table, leaning on both of his hands and smiling. "Where's your stud of a boyfriend?"
"At the convention center. Isn't that where you should be?" I ask as I place the menu down on the table.
"I don't have to be there right now. Do you want some company?"
"Sure, have a seat." Jonathan sits down across from me. The waiter comes over to us and takes our order. I decided to get the burger after all. "If someone would have told me all those years ago when you first came to the team that I would be sitting here and having lunch with you I would have told them that they were crazy."
"See, and now we're friends!"
"Are we though?"
"I thought so," he says and pouts out his lower lip.
"Ok, ok, we're friends."
"How have you been keeping yourself occupied while he's out there working?" he asks.
