In the morning I wake up and look over to where Tyler is sleeping and smile. He's still totally naked, so am I. I grab the comforter and put it over him and get out of bed to pee. After I get out of the bathroom I get into bed and kiss Tyler's ear. He leans his head towards me and smiles. He opens his eyes and looks at me. "You looking to go again?" he asks. I laugh. I was not expecting that to be the first thing he says to me.

"I have an early flight."

"You should come back with me. Stay for my birthday."

"I already took too many days off to come here. I have to get back to work. I'm sorry I won't be able to be there for your birthday." I hate that I have to lie to him but it'll be worth it to see the look on his face when he sees me at that party. Jamie has already sent me all of the details. It's going to be on February 1st, which is crazy, because I have that meeting in California the next day. I wouldn't miss Tyler's surprise party for the world though. He has no idea.

I get a glimpse of the hickey on Tyler's neck. There is a decent sized bruise on there. I was trying to be careful but I got a little too into it. "Oh man, I got you good. I'm so sorry."

"The guys are gonna get a kick out of it, eh?" he asks as he rubs his neck with his hand.

"Just tell them how awesome the sex was." I pause. "On second thought please don't." He laughs. I look at the time. I have to start getting ready to go. "I have to shower. I am going to have to leave soon." I sit up and get out of bed and walk to the bathroom to shower. When I get out of the shower I walk out into the room to get dressed and Tyler is still naked. "You trying to distract me?"

"Is it working?"

"I have to get dressed." I pick some clothes out of my suitcase and begin to get dressed. Tyler begins to put his clothes back on while I get dressed. All he has is his suit. I guess he probably should have just brought his stuff to my room. He was here the last 3 nights anyway. After I get dressed I begin to pack up my things. "I hate this part."

"Yeah," he says as he puts his shoes on. His collar is messed up so I walk over to him and fix it. "Thanks."

I sit on his lap and kiss him. He holds onto me and kisses me back. "I could kiss you forever."

"I won't stop you." He squeezes me tightly. "I don't even know when I am going to be seeing you next."

"I know." I look at the time. "I have to go, Tyler." I stand up. He holds onto my hand. "Please don't do this. It's hard enough."

"I'll walk you down." He picks up my suitcase and we leave the room. He is holding my hand the whole time we walk to the elevator and through the lobby and outside. I have a car picking me up to take me to the airport. The driver pops the trunk and Tyler puts my suitcase in and closes the trunk. He puts his hands on my hips and kisses me one last time before I get into the car. He closes the door behind me and waves. I wave goodbye and the driver drives away and we are on the way to the airport.

The All Star break was fun but it's the day after I got home and I am back to reality. I am in the dark room early so I can get a head start on producing my photographs. Not only am I working on my 50 photographs for my exhibition I am also working on Tyler's birthday present. It's so hard to shop for Tyler. It always has been. He doesn't usually want much and the things he does want he usually just winds up buying for himself. I decided to give him something that has meaning. Something that he will be able to enjoy while he's down there in Dallas and missing his family.

There is this park we used to go to as kids that had this hill. It was higher than a hill, though, it was like a cliff. We would go up there and look out onto the city and talk about what all the little dots were doing in their day. We would go up there if we were sad or frustrated or just needed to get away from the world for a bit. It's calm and peaceful. It became our special place to go when we just wanted to talk about whatever was on our minds. Usually he would talk about hockey and I would talk about my aspirations to become a famous photographer. This cliff symbolizes so much for the both of us. Look where we are now. I went up on top of that hill and took a series of photos of our city with the sun setting just behind it. He can hang this up and always have home with him.
