"YOU FOUND HER WHERE?!" Mr Ahmad bellowed. "YOU SAID YOU WOULD PROTECT HER!"

It was one of those very rare times that Mr Ahmad ever raised his voice, he simply couldn't hold his distress in any more.

"Mr Ahmad, please do calm down," Lakisha pleaded.

"CALM DOWN? I DON'T KNOW WHETHER MY DAUGHTER IS DEAD OR ALIVE!"

"There is still hope, Alex was a former Doctor, she knows what she is doing." Andeon supported

"We need to take her to a proper hospital, I cannot have my daughter being operated on in an underground hideout with barely any equipment and by an amateur doctor." Mr Ahmad demanded.

"We believe it would be safer here. Alex knows what she is doing.. Trust us." Lakisha said.

"I trusted you to keep her safe and look what happened." Mr Ahmad muttered coldly, and turned around.

"You can't go into that room." Lakisha stated.

"My daughter is there."

"Alex needs to have one hundred percent concentration."

"How long will it take?" Mr Ahmad questioned.

"We're not sure," Lakisha said.

Mr Ahmad stormed away from them. How could they do this? They promised to take care of her. They promised not to let anything happen to her. They promised!

The group had commanded every one to go into hiding, they had setup this underground hideout ever since Jaidah had died. It was a pretty complex place, considering that they had to make this in silence, with no professional building company to help them out.

Azalea looked worry sick, she paced up and down the narrow corridor and her mother sat close by. Mazin and Auntie Aasiyah had been ordered here dor their safety as they sat in the corner, discussing something under hushed voices.

Mr Ahmad sat close to the room where Alex was opperating on Maydah and whispered a Du'a after Du'a (supplication).

After what seemed like years upon years, Alex came out of the room. Mr Ahmad sprung to his feet, as every one else there had seemed to have done as well, and crowded around Alex with questioning expressions.

"All we can do is wait." Alex announced.

"Wait? What do you mean? Is she alive?" Azalea queried.

"She's lost a lot of blood before I was able to attend to her."

"For now, we must keep positive thoughts, the future will take care of itself." Lakisha stated.

"Can I see her?" Mr Ahmad asked.

Alex nodded after a while of thoughtful contemplation.

Mr Ahmad turned the doorknob, his fingers shaking, as her entered the room Maydah was in. He was afraid they had found her too late. She was already unconscious and cold. So cold. Her face, that once brought him so much joy, was now blank in sleep, yet she looked so at peace.

"La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah (there is no power nor might except with/by Allah)" He whispered and then left the room.
