Mr Ahmad sat by Maydah's bedside, it had been two days since Alex had operated on her and since then she hadn't moved a muscle. Whether she was going to live was very uncertain.
Alex had already explained Mr Ahmad that who ever had attacked her had decided to dispose of her body by kicking it into the lake in order to leave behind no evidence behind, so by the time they had found her body, she had already breathed in a lot of water and lost too much blood. How ever, Mr Ahmad simply refused to accept the fact that his daughter might die and spent countless hours next to her bed side reciting prayer after prayer.
"Mr Ahmad, do eat something." Azalea came into the room carrying a plate of food.
"Thank you dear, but I'm not hungry at the moment." Mr Ahmad said softly.
"I'll keep the plate here." Azalea said and backed out of the room.
"How is he?" Auntie Aasiyah asked.
"He still won't eat."
"It's been two days.." Mrs Connors, Azalea's mom said.
"Alex did the best she can." Lakisha said.
"Her skills were rusty though, how long has it been since she operated on a person?" Mazin argued.
"She used to work with Jaidah in the hospital!" Lakisha protected.
"How many years ago was that?" Mrs Connors questioned.
"Not too long ago actually." Lakisha replied feircely.
"Mom, they wouldn't carelessly put her life in danger like that.." Azalea suggested softly.
"Than I'd like them to explain why they didn't stop this from happening to her." Mazin retorted furiousley.
"We did the best we could, what happened was out of our hands." Lakisha responded.
"Every one stop, we can't have this negative energy, espicially not around-" Auntie Aasiyah said, but Mr Ahmad bursted out of the room Maydah was in.
"Maydah." He said breathlessly.
"What's happened?" Auntie Aasiyah cringed her forehead.
"She stopped breathing."
"I'll get Alex," Lakisha said hurriedly.
Azalea pushed past Mr Ahmad and went into the room, Maydah was as still as an ice statue, every one else had followed her in.
"What's going on?" Andeon asked, lingering outside the room.
"She's not breathing," Mrs Connors informed worriedly.
"We should have taken her to a proper hospital!" Mazin raged.
"Now is not time for the blame game." Auntie Aasiyah said.
"Every one out." Alex ordered, bringing the frenzy to a silence.
"You tried to help her the first time and look what happened?" Mazin said.
"It's me or nothing, now out." Alex said calmly.
"Come on every one." Lakisha said standing by the door as every one filed out.
"Lakisha, check every one's blood type, I have a feeling Maydah will need it." Alex muttered.
Lakisha nodded and went out.
"We'll need to do a blood test, one of you may have to donate your blood." Lakisha informed every one.
"It will take forever to check every one's blood type!" Azalea said.
"Maydah's blood type is B positive.. Any of you know your blood types?" Lakisha asked.
"Jaidah's was B positive," Mr Ahmad said.
"That means mine might also be so," Auntie Aasiyah said, seeing as they were sisters.
"One person might not be enough."
"Mine is B positive," A person that Mr Ahmad did not know, said.
"So is mine, I believe," Alex said coming out of the room.
"The blood transfusion has taken place." Alex said after an hour or so.
"And?" Mr Ahmad demaded.
Alex stared at hime blankly.
"What happened?" He asked desperately.
"She," Alex took a deep breath. "She's awake."
"Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Aalameen (All praise is due to the lord of the worlds)!!"
"You can go see her, she's eager to find out what happened." Alex smiled.
Maydah's Point of View
I saw my dad come in, it felt like the first time I was seeing him! He hugged me tightly, cool tears dripping from his eyes.
"Where are we dad?" I asked, confused.
"Underground," He told me, "Alex ordered ever one to come here in order to keep them safe after your attack."
"How long will we have to stay here?"
"I don't know my dear." He said.
I got up from my bed and attempted to walk, but my legs were shakey as hell, I felt like a toddler. Dad held my arm to help me stand.
"You're still weak," He told me, "You may need some time to recover."
"I feel fine dad, honestly." I said.
Alex had set up a planned diet for me so that I could regain my energy. I had to eat tons and tons of spinach to regain all the blood that I had lost. She also said that we weren't allowed to use the internet, no mobile devices all computers. The only thing we had was a cable TV.
They had decided to keep me underground to make Daniels believe that I really was dead until the time when I would need to go to court as a witness. Our case however, was still very weak, we only had one witness which was me and the case that was being filed was huge and needed at least more than one witness.
Oh well, we can just hope for the best....
