**Alex's POV**

There was a small black dot in my arm just under the skin. I pushed on it and was greeted with a sharp pain. Small bruises were already forming on my arms were Harry had grabbed me.

I moved to the bed when the door opened once again. It was a random guard that I hadn't seen before. The guy was buff, and if I wasn't in this situation I would have found him attractive. He had dark eyes and brown hair, he didn't move like the other guards did, he had his own thoughts. I could already tell that there was something wrong with him.

"Hello," said the man, who was barely older than me. I looked away from him. The man shut the door and walked up to me.

He glanced around the room taking in the cameras that were watching me.

"We don't have long to talk," that guard whispered getting closer to me, "My name is Jace and I'm working with the resistance."

"What," I asked, my eyes widening, and my heart beat quickening. What this man here to save me?

"I'm working on get you and all of the others back to the overland." I almost fainted there and then, my whole body flashed with heat, and I wanted to hug this man. I knew that someone was coming for us.

"Can we leave now?" I asked.

"Shhh...," said the man urgently, "No, but I just need you to trust me. We need to work together, Cayla sent me."

"Cayla," I said, suddenly worried, "Is she okay? What happened to her? Is she here?"

"I can't stay here," said Jace suddenly, "I have to go, but I can tell you that she is safe. Please don't tell anyone about me."

"No, please," I said as Jace went to the door, "Please help me."

"I will," he said confidently, "I promise."

"Make sure my sister's okay," I screamed as he left.

I fell on my bed overcome with anger, happiness, and sadness all at once.
