  Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life

~Hoizer, Take Me To Church

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
**Alex's POV**
I laid down on a reclining beach chair, trying to forget what James said to me and have fun. I wondered if the artificial sun would give me a tan or not.
I laid back for a while trying to ignore everything around me and pretend that I was on vacation at Wisconsin Dells, like every late summer. I imagined seeing Lana and Seth running around me and mom and dad holding hands. I imagined the packed resort and the beautiful rooms that we stayed in. I remembered the feel of the real sun warming me, and making me happy giving me a sun-kissed glow.
I felt tears come to my eyes as I thought of something that I would never have again. I flipped onto my stomach not letting anyone see the emotions playing on my face. Maybe If I got out, I'd right a book.
I had never been a person who went to church every Sunday, but I didn't care. I folded my hands under my stomach, keeping my eyes closed.
"Dear, God," I whispered to my self, "Or anyone listening. Please help me and bring me and Lana home to safety."
Soon I heard someone calling my name. I groaned and got up.
"Alexandria," called James from the edge of the pool.
"What," I asked annoyed.
"Watch you attitude," he snapped, "Go get me a glass of wine."
James barley looked 20, but I didn't think it mattered here. Back at home I would have slapped him and told him to get his own damn drink. But I couldn't do that anymore. I sighed, and walked into the building, asking the staff where I could get drinks.
I grabbed two glasses of wine. I took a sip of one, and made a face. I hadn't ever had wine before, but if it would calm me down, I would be happy to try it. It tasted like grapes that went bad, but I drowned the glass plugging my nose. I rinsed out the empty glass and put it back before bringing the other glass to James.
"Happy," I asked him.
"Very," he replied.  I walked back to the chair I had been at and flopped down, watching James get out of the pool and joined me.
"Need anything else," I asked obviously annoyed.
"Just good company," he said, taking another sip.
I ignored him, until he finished his glass, and set it down.
"Lets go swim," he said, pulling me to my feet. I smiled and let him led me to the pool.
