If I could write you a song
And make you fall in love
I would already have you under my arm,
I used up all of my tricks
I hope that you will like this,
But you probablly won't,
You think you're cooler than me
~Cooler Than Me Mike Posner
**Alex's POV**
"No," I cried out, as the man sent the whip forward. He moved his arm at the last second, so it hit the ground next to Alana with a loud crack. I ran forward through the crowd, struggling to get to Lana.
"Don't hurt her," I cried, as Matt held me back, away from my sister. His hand was under my crop top, pulling me away from the King.
"Let her go Matt," said the 'King'. His voice calmed me for a second, but them I saw Lana, weeping on the fear surged through me. Matt took his hand off of me, letting me stumble forward to my sister. I fell in front of her, my eyes searching her for any sign of injury. She looked okay physically.
I wrapped my arms about my baby sister, knowing that the man who had kidnapped us watched me hold her protectively.
Lana whimpered looking over my shoulder, her eyes widened as something touched my back. I flinched feeling something metal dragging over my skin slowly.
I turned my head, looking over my shoulders, the King was dragging the tip of the whip against my bare skin.
The King studied me with his prying eyes, evaluating me. He smiled at him, but the smile was sinister and evil.
"We have a volunteer," said the King. With a flick of his empty hand, two guards were over by me and Lana. The men grabbed Lana by the shoulders, throwing her back by the other kids. Lana stayed on the floor, to weak and scared to get up.
I pulled myself to my feet, my knees shaking. I wondered if everyone could see the fear on my face. The King stood close to me, maybe four feet away. And In a quick stride he covered the distance.
"What's your name," asked the King, reaching out of touch my cheek. I stood still, knowing that it would be less painful if I did. The man had cold fingers, cold enough to make me shiver. His fingers were long and filled with scars.
"What's your name," asked the King once again, he was angrier.
"Alex," I said quietly. I wanted to back away from the King and run, but his touch had me stunned. I couldn't move.
"Alex," he repeated, brushing a piece of hair behind my ear with the fainted touch. "Alex."
I suddenly found the power to step back, I stumbled away from the man.
"Kneel, facing away from me," commanded the King. His face was hard, and he looked angry once again. There was curiosity and anger in his eyes.
"W-why," I asked. I was so scared, terror filled me. I knelled down following his instructions. Suddenly I knew why.
I heard an off noise, I soon a felt something hit my back. I felt the metal whip cut my skin, and I could only feel agony.
I screamed, black dots covering my vision. I started sobbing at the burning pain in my back just as another off came. I felt the hit, ripping open more flesh. I tried to drag myself away, but the pain was too much.
"Stop," I sobbed, but I heard another hit coming. Dots covered my vision, and the pain was too much. I let my eyes fall shut, the pain shutting down my brain. And fell into unconsciousness.
