You asked me how I feel, I say nothin'
But lately color seems so bright
And the stars light up the night
My feet they feel so light
I'm ignoring all the signs
I keep on frontin', yeah, I stay bluffin'
I keep you wonderin'
Keep you huntin' for my lovin'
But I crave us huggin'
Yeah, I stay stubborn
Cause I can't admit that you got all the strings
And know just how to tug 'em

~ Kat Dahila, I think I'm in Love

**Jace's POV**

I stumbled through the dark roads, fresh blood on my face. I was limping and my hands were covered in blood. I was ready to pass out. My feet hurt, and my head pounded. Each step send a fresh pang of pain through my body, and I was ready to cry out.

"You need to get home," I told myself, "Keep Moving."

Soon I was outside the motel, and I walked in. Candles were lit in the main room, not to have light, but to invite a death. They thought I died.

"Hey," I yelled, my voice cracking, and my throat burning.

Suddenly Cayla appeared, holding a knife out infront of her, Red behind her.

"Jace," she cried out, running to me, and wrapping her arms around my. I stumbled back and groaned as she did.

"Are you okay," she asked holding me at arms length to examine me.

"I'm okay," I said colapsing on the couch, "I think."

"What happened bro," asked Reb, as Cayla left to go grab something.

"How long was I gone," I asked, rubbing my bloody face.

"Like 5 days," Reb said, moving next to me on the couch.

"Dang," I said.

"What happened to you," asked Cayla, walking back in the room with a bowl of warm water and a washcloth. I kneeled infront of my and wet the washcloth.

"A lot," I said. As she moved the cloth to my face, cleaning off the blood.

"I'm gonna go to bed," said Reb, "I suggest you both do, let Jace sleep. We can talk in the morning."

"Yeah," agreed Cayla.

Reb left the room, and it was just me a Cayla. Cayla finished cleaning my face, and kissed my cheek.

"Well talk in the morning," she said, before leaving me.
