**Seth's POV**
Two and a half weeks had passed, and I was sitting in a courtroom. My family and most of the town was cramped into the courthouse for Phil's trial.
Everyone was quiet as the door in the back opened and in came Phil in a jumpsuit his hands handcuffed. Everyone looked back at him. I looked him straight in the eye, disgusted. How could I have ever respected this man?
I sat silently watching him take his oath, and shuffle into his seat. Phil's daughter sat in the booth directly behind him. I wondered why she hadn't been there this year, but now I knew.
Opening statements were made and soon I was called up. My mom squeezed my arm and wished me luck.
Nerves took over as I walked to the bailiff who had the Bible. I placed my hand on it, and repeated after the bailiff.
"I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth."
I moved over to the stand and sat down. The prosecuting attorney walked in front of me, starting to ask questions.
"Where were you at the time of the kidnapping," she asked.
"I was sleeping at Camp Bird," I answered.
"Can you tell me everything that happened the next day," she asked.
"So I woke up and it seemed like a normal day. We all got ready, no one knew that something bad had happened until we walked down to breakfast. When we walked in the mess hall was almost completely void of the girls, they were all gone. We were even late, so we knew that something bad had happened. Phil was all jumpy and sad, and he told us that the girls were kidnapped. We were all so scared, some of us didn't believe us. I called the police, Phil even tried to stop me. I called, and the police came. Phil knew what was happening, he had been acting weird that night before too."
"That is all."
Soon the defending attorney walked forward to cross-examine me.
"Hello," he said.
I nodded at him.
"So you said that Phil said that the girls were kidnapped?" He asked.
"Yes," I said.
"And did Phil tell you that he knew it was going to happen?"
"No...... He didn't say it, but he was acting weird."
"But he didn't say that he knew anything about it?"
"No," I said.
"That is all," said the attorney.
The rest of the trial went on, and soon court was done for the day.
