34. Truth Unfold

ART'S POV

"Good morning ladies and getlemen!" Panimulang bati ko sa mga board members pagkapasok ko sa conference room.

"Mr. Santillian what is this urgent meeting all about?" Mr. Garcia asked.

Napangiti na lang ako sa tanong nya. Si Mr. Garcia ay isa sa mga CEO wanna be ng company ng daddy ko. He once started a scandal that almost cause my father's position and reputation in his own company.

He accused my father as the caused of their partner's bankruptsy. The owner of their partner's company was my dad's late friend. Sinisisi ni Mr. Garcia si daddy.

"I think sir you don't wanna rush this meeting" and I gave him a mischivious smile.

I found it out while rereading the company's previous transactions and history.

Flashback

While scanning the company's information one paper caught my attention. It contents were about a certain scandal happen years ago.

"Santillian's company's owner and CEO sabotaged their own partner."

I read the article and investigate about the controversy and personally asked dad about it. Dad said that it wasn't him who sabotaged their company. Dad said that Mr. Reyes was a good friend of him. And he can't do what Mr. Garcia accusing him.

While investigating I learned that Mr. Garcia was the one behind the fall of Mr. Reyes' company. He paid millions just for this scandal to fire my father to his current position that time, but no one believed, especially when there was no proof that dad really did it and what's the most shocking was that Mr. Reyes is the father of Lorraine Jane Reyes my ex-girlfriend the woman of my past, the woman who wants revenge because of something I did not know and little did I know that Lorraine has a sister.

Lorraine never mentioned about his family background before, all I know was that she was an orphan and besides I did not care about her past because all that matter to me was that I loved her during our days.

Dad said that he offered Mr. Reyes help for his company but Mr. Reyes himself declined the offer and chose to sell the company to dad.

Few months later dad received a news that Mr. Reyes passed away because of cancer. Dad looked for Mr. Reyes' children to help and support them for their living. Dad thought that time that he was responsible for Mr. Reyes' children's lost unfortunately their relatives brought them to London.
That time the case was already solved and dad was innocent from any crime regarding the scandal and it turned out that Mr. Garcia was the one who sabotaged everything. But the board chose to stay quiet and let the scandal dissolved to avoid another humiliation from the public.

I was thinking it was unreasonable. When dad was the accused, they take action but when the truth unfold they stayed quiet. I asked dad why he agreed with the board he said, "it was the best for everyone". What a lame reason.

But aside from the controversy I found out something very important to gain back what we lost. I gathered all the evidences and prepare myself for action.

Present time

"Okay son why don't we start the meeting so everyone can understand what this is all about." My dad said.

"Yes dad. Since Mr. Garcia seems to be impatient. I'll start with you." I looked at him.

"What do you mean Mr. Santillian?" Nagtatakang tumingin na nakakunot ang noo saakin.

"You'll know but first" tumingin ako sa secretary ko as a sign to distribute the folders I gave her.

"As you can see from the papers that my secretary gave to you are the transaction that was made since 20** until the present time that our company made"
