The wolf bucked trying to throw Brad off its back, it collapsed to the ground. Brad clenched the scruff of the wolves neck and signalled for me to finish the job. I moved in with my dagger, I didn't want to hurt this wolf it wasn't its fault but if I didn't it would either kill us or alert all the vampires. As quick as I could I stabbed it ending its life almost immediately. And it was over, Brad sat on his haunches panting, I leaned against the cool wall breathing heavily. Brad bled heavily from a long gash along his collarbone and I gushed blood from the wound on my leg, it could use at least fifteen stitches. After a minute of silence I cautiously climbed onto Brad's back, his wounds would heal within the hour, but mine were a little harder to cover up. Brad made his way to the house much slower, my eyes were fluttering closed when we finally made it to Alex's house. I was exhausted and my blood loss was taking a toll, I slid off Brad trying to land on my feat. But when my feet hit the solid pavement my knees gave way and the ground approach fast, I collapsed onto the ground, cold seeping into me. I crumpled into a ball clinging to the last bit of warmth I had, but it wasn't enough. The world dimmed seconds before everything went dark.
"Asha, Asha can you hear me? What the hell, why couldn't you just get me and tell me you were going out. Now look what happened." Calum almost yelled at Brad I guessed.
"Calm down dude, she is waking up and with all the yelling you're gonna send her into a coma." Brad replied slightly annoyed.
"Asha can you open your eyes?" Calum asked much calmer. All I could focus on was the searing pain in my leg, my throat was parched and my eyes felt like they were glued shut.
"Hurts" was all I could manage.
"I know, I know I stitched up your leg and wrapped it but we didn't give you any pain killers" Calum said sympathetically .
"Water".I croaked fire burned my throat. I heard Brad quickly ran off and Calum searching the bathroom for painkillers, It seemed like I was looking through a dirty window, everything was blurry.
"Here sit up and drink this I found some Advil" Calum demanded. Brad helped me sit up, tears sprung to my eyes as my wound stretch and twisted. I bit hard into my cheek and took the painkiller and greedily drank the whole glass of water.
"Where is Raine, what time is it?" The water soothed my dry throat.
"We didn't wake her up because we didn't want her to see you all torn up but we can get her if you want, you're in Brad and myselves room and it is going on three am" Calum explained, his eyes held worry and guilt. "I never should have went to sleep I should have just sucked it up and stayed awake then none of this would have happened." Calum looked angry at himself.
"You haven't slept in days you needed it, and it is Raine's birthday today so I needed to get her a present and I have had much worse injuries, you know that" I gave him a pointed look. The Advil was kicking in and a sweet numbness washed over me.
"We killed the wolf that attacked Asha" Brad spoke to Calum before going to wake Raine up. Calum still looked a little pissed but his eyes softened when he looked at me.
"Asha..." He started, I cut in.
"I know, I know I should have at least told you we were leaving and I know that it is my fault that Brad got hurt and I was the one to put him in danger." I rambled, I had noticed before that Brad's shoulder was lightly wrapped in gauze but with his accelerated healing it must not be all that severe.
"I was going to say, that I am glad that you are as okay as you have ever been." The corner of Calum's mouth lifted, he clasped my hand in both of his.
