Raine spit out trying to move to the front door but Rachel moved in front of her.
"You deserved this, and I will make your life a living hell and the—" Raine's arms tightened around me. Anger scorched her beautiful blue eyes tingeing them a deep blue.
"If you or your warped lover ever lay a finger on Asha or any of us again I will personally come after you and hunt you down." Raine hissed. If I wasn't in so much pain I would have whooped in joy, Raine could be very threatening when lead on, say like by a boundless teenager. Rachel's eyes flashed with fear for a moment before turning into full blown terror. Raine threw a quick glance over her shoulder and I looked behind her to see Calum standing right behind her, his sea blue eyes dark like the murky bottoms of rough waters concealing any other emotion other than pure hatred.
"O-okay" Rachel sputtered out, scurrying away like a scared kitten. Without speaking, Calum scooped me out of Raine's arms and held me against his broad chest. I could feel him shaking in what fear, rage?
"Let's go" Calum said without hesitation, moving towards the door, Raine on his heels. The fresh air helped my queasy stomach but didn't do much for the pain. Raine ran ahead of Calum to the SUV opening the back door and sliding into the far side. Calum gently place me so that my head lay on Raine's lap, my feet and body sprawled across the other two seats. Calum hovered by the door throwing glances back at the dark house.
"Where's Brad, we have to get Asha out of here." Raine's voice quivered as she spoke.
"I don't know" Calum paused. "I'm going in you stay with Asha." Calum turned on his heels and ran back towards the looming house. Rained and I sat in silence for minutes, our hearts racing, waiting for Calum and Brad to emerge from the house.
"Where are they? What if something happened to them?" I whispered, my voice hoarse.
"I- I don't know. Maybe I should go find them." Rained tried to sound brave. Before I could stop her from leaving she quickly got out of the SUV, running to the house. And then I was alone. All I could do was wait, and hope that my friends were okay. I felt worthless, these situations were my sort of thing, but now. Now I was useless. Minutes had passed, but it felt like hours. There was no sign of anyone, I couldn't here anything.
"I'm going in." I decided not sure of how but I am going to find my friends. I opened the SUV door. Trying to slide my body out with as little movement as possible. As soon as my feet hit the ground my legs collapsed and my body hit the hard asphalt beneath me.
