"Brad, Raine get your stuff and come on" I said warily, when we had gathered our meager stuffing made our way to the door. I stepped in front of Raine shielding her from Alex's hungry stare. Alex and Brad shook hands and nodded at each other Alex paid no attention to Calum and Brad as Alex zoned in on Raine and I.
"And who might you be?" He asked Raine, who shivered behind me good to see I'm not the only one creeped out by Alex.
"Uhhh, that's my sister Raine" I lied, Raine looked at me questionably and I shrugged.
"Really? You look nothing alike" whoops.
"Umm ya, I look more like my father and she took after our mom" I muttered, Alex licked his lips and nodded. He ushered us inside, the house was extremely neat compared to what the outside looked like. Alex said his girlfriend was upstairs sleeping, ah that is why it's so neat. We were shown our rooms, Calum and Brad had to share a room ha I'd like to see Brad last a night sleeping with Calum.
"Sleep over" squealed Brad as he leapt onto the comfy bed. While Calum and Brad set up there room Alex showed Raine and I our room, it was far away from Calum's room and had no lock, that was what really scared me until I saw that Alex's room was right across from ours. Oh god I'm not going to sleep well. It was ten o'clock when we finally settled down, I chuckled hearing Brad's happy chatter as he went on about girls and what guys are wearing like a teenage girl, I could hear Calum groaning all through his splurge. Raine was silent staring up at the ceiling in her own world, I nudged her.
"What's up?" I asked. Raine jumped and looked at me.
"I don't know, I feel weird" I flop back onto the bed and lay beside her.
"What do you mean?" I question my.
"Aside from being near Alex who is imagining you naked while kissing his girlfriend. I-I think I'm in love"
"Oh please say your not in love with Alex" I said shocked
"Oh hell no, Brad" I looked at her shockingly and then a slow goofy smile spread across my face.
"Knew it" I exclaimed Raine laughed.
    "Goodnight Asha"
"Goodnight Raine" I mumbled, not tired though.
The morning finally came and the house smelled of burnt toast, I looked over to where Raine lay. Raine was snoring quietly beside me, wow she could sleep through an apocalypse. I swiftly got dressed and crept downstairs, Calum sat slumped on the barstool. The kitchen was clean and polished with a bar like counter in the centre and an oak table in the far corner. Calum had his forehead in his palm, he chewed away at the burnt toast, his eyes had dark rings under them. I would think that with being at a house with an actual bed that he would be much more comfortable. I looked to Brad who sat near him eating a bowl of lucky charms, I gave him a ' what the hell ' look, Brad just shrugged and motioned for me to follow him into the dusty living room. I followed and when we were out of earshot Brad spoke.
"Morning"
"Morning, why is Calum so wiped?" I asked
"Well when we all went to bed he stayed up for at least another four hours, but then he would get up every hour and check on you and Raine and then take a sweep of the house. He seems quite unsettled" Wow, Calum checked on Raine and I every hour, my heart fluttered at the thought. No one has really been there for Raine and I since our parents died and now we had Calum and Brad.
