Calum looked angry, his lips quivered and a vein in his forehead. But before he could speak up Brad leapt out of his patio chair.
"You brought us to a, a..." Brad looked at Araiden and quieted. "Why would you bring us there, did you know what he did to that girl?" Brad lowered his voice but still sounded fierce. I was bewildered that Calum had brought us to Alex's. I knew that he was weird and creepy but I didn't think he would have went that far, but looks are deceiving. I don't know if I should feel bad for Alex or be proud of Abigail. Calum's eyes were the size of saucers, with what, fear, anger or regret?
"I, I... Alex is a good friend of mine, and he would never do something like that, don't believe everything you hear. Anyways that was only one side of the story." Calum tried to cover for Alex. I didn't know what to feel, who to believe. Abigail or Calum?
"Sorry Calum but as a fellow girl, I will always side with the girl." Raine cut in.
"Agreed" Brad grunted. Everyone turned to me, oh shit I don't know. Calum has saved our asses more than once but Raine was right and Abigail was not making that story up.
"Sorry Calum b-but Raine is right." I stuttered. Calum sprung out of his seat, Brad and I almost leaped up, well in as much as I could, to intercept Calum I case he went on a rampage. But Calum stormed back into the brick house, slamming the sliding screen door behind him.
"He'll be back." Abigail said breaking the silence. I almost laughed, the reaction that Calum made. I thought he'd be back in Spokane by the end of the week. "Ever since he was fourteen he had anger issues, he saw a therapist once a week for about five years and then quit thinking he had total control over his emotions, but every once in awhile he would snap. He has never hit anyone before he just, leaves." Abigail had a glint of sadness in her otherwise icy eyes.
