I went back inside, not really knowing what to think, say or feel. I wasn't even sure of what I felt, it just felt like huge mix of emotions. Happy to know I wasn't the only one feeling that "us" was right, almost to the edge of tears because he ruined the whole mehndi thing for in the future, that feeling of giving in, and the stubbornness that always had it, it's way.

"What were you talking to Rajveer about" Anu asked grabbing my overarm, giving me a smile. Damn I could tell how fake she was being. "Nothing really!" I said and started walking towards Aunty, who was talking to someone that looked familiar. Anu didn't stop me, and as I reached Aunty and the man and women she was talking to, Aunty quickly pulled me into a hug and started introducing me. "This is my sweet Avni beta, she is like a daughter to me!" She said looking at me proudly, I greeted them, showing them respect by saying namaste. "Oh Avni beta, this is Mr. And Mrs. Singh" .. Typical. I smiled and but it quickly dropped when Rajveer appeared behind the Mrs. Singh, and wrapped his arms around her. "Avni beta, this is our son Rajveer" Mr. Singh said. And that's why they looked familiar. "We have met before" he said and gave me wink. There it was again I hated him, he was such a cocky, hot idiot! I faked a smile and looked around to find Sanju so that she could save me, to my luck, I did and I talked to her by giving her a look. She walked towards us as fast as she could now that she was covered in mehndi. "Namaste Uncle, Aunty." She said greeting Rajveer's parents. "Can I borrow Av for a second?" She said. Damn I loved her right now. I followed her into this little sitting room, where we could be alone.

I thought it was time to come completely clean now. I had to tell Sanju about last night, and that I now had Rajveer written on my hands.
"I have to tell you something!" I said and she sat down.

"Look, yesterday.. I.. I, okay I'll tell you quickly and promise not to judge!" She shifted in her seat and nodded with this serious face plastered on her face. I looked down knowing what I had done would make her mad.
"Well I bought some vodka, drank it, went to Rajveer, he dropped me off back home. He took care of me as I was a mess, and we cuddled up in bed. Which was also how he knew I was feeling sick this morning!"

I took a break to see her face, it was the same. I continued. "And well, laying there with each other felt right, and to be honest. It just felt natural. And I felt empty when he wasn't there when I woke up. And he somehow managed to get his name on my hands...!" "WHAT??!?!?" She interrupted me and got up, grabbed my hands and searched them, and her eyes widened when she saw the name in between the designs. "What the hell?" She said and looked somehow pissed.
"Well I didn't know! And I don't want to have anything to do with him. But.. something inside of me just wants him. And not in a sexual way, okay that too, but like you and Tushar. And then I think of what he's done, and how much it hurt when he kissed Anu."
She looked at me with this sympathetic look, which wasn't really like her.

"It will all work out Avni! do what you feel is right!" She said. "But I am very disappointed in you, if you were to drink why didn't you invite me ?" She said and we both let out a comforting laugher. "No but seriously don't do that again" she said and I got the point. "I don't know what I want Sanju. That's the the problem. He makes me really nervous, and his touch sends me shivers. But then again I keep thinking of that day he spilled my coffee and how annoying he is." I said feeling a lot eased out, as I had let it all out. "Personally I think you like him Av. You think way to much about him. Maybe you should just give him a chance!" I thought about it, and decided not to. I felt he had taken the concept of choice from me, as he just decided I was his, and claimed me by writing his stupid name on my hands. He did it so perfectly, which just set me off again. "No.. I wouldn't be able to live with that annoyance." I said opening the door, I decided it was no longer a subjekt to discuss. She took the hint, and walked out the door I had opened.

I walked out and towards the stage, and immediately Mr. and Mrs. Singh pulled me aside. I gave them a smile, I felt bad for them since they had such and idiot of a son. "Avni beta." Mr. Singh said, then continued. "You look like a bright girl, so do tell us. What do you do?" He said, giving me somewhat of a comforting smile. But that comfort quickly disappeared as Rajveer came up beside me. It was clear to see what Mrs. Singh was thinking as she saw Rajveer and I, side by side. "I study medicine at Oxford University." I said giving a nervous smile. "Oh that's how you know Sanju then?" Mrs. Singh asked, I nodded followed by a smile. "Well you must be busy now days. You know with your studies, and this wedding and all!" Mr. Singh said, crossing his arms. "No not really. t's the semester break, so I am starting a new semester 3 weeks after the wedding." "Oh of course! Just like my son Rajveer here, he also have a semester break. He study architecture!" He said pointing at Rajveer, I actually didn't know that, maybe he wasn't stupid, just ... okay well stupid. I tried looking impressed, which really wasn't hard as I actually was.

"So what do your parents do, and where are they tonight. We would love to meet them!" Mrs Singh said. I looked down knowing that my parents wasn't here with me. "Well my father has a transport company, and my mother takes care of the elderly. But they aren't here tonight, as they live in Denmark." I said looking at them, they both seemed impressed. "So you're originally from Denmark then?" Mr. Singh asked, I nodded. "Born and breaded!" I smiled. "Wow, you english is amazing then, very good!" Mrs. Singh said, looking me up and down in a positiv way. "Oh I see you have got your mehndi done!" She said and tried to reach for my hands. My heart started beating fast as I knew their sons name was on it. All of a sudden Rajveers arms reached in front of mine. "Mama, seriously! Don't tired out the poor girl." Rajveer said, and his mother just slapped his overarm and laughed. "Nice to meet you, I hope it won't be the last time!" Mr. Singh said giving me a smile, as he and his Mrs. walked away.

"That was close!" Rajveer said looking at them till they were out of sight. I turned to look this stupid idiot on my side. "Well it wouldn't have been an issue, if you just would've left me alone, and not gotten YOUR name written on MY hands!" I said, and quickly walked away not wanting to continue this convocation. He followed me, "I think they like you. And they are defiantly considering you for me!" He said. I stopped and turned around. "If you care for me, the way you say you do, tell them you don't want me. If you care for my happiness, know I wouldn't be happy marrying you!" I said, his face instantly dropped, as the words left my mouth. I sensed he was hurt, and I don't know why it literally broke me on the inside seeing him sad. But I ignored it, and walked away from him.
