I was sat in history surrounded by piles of different types of revision. From pages photocopied from textbooks, to ready made flash cards, to mind maps done by pervious students. I was overwhelmed and was bored of seeing dates from medicine through time.
Looking over my shoulder I could see students equally fed up and as disorganised as me. Some even sleeping on the desks from a late night the night before.
One more hour of this and I can go home early because of Marina.
Joseph went to sleep in my arms, how sweet! Dad took a picture of Joseph and I because I really wanted this moment to be on facebook. I handed Joseph to Leo and Leo took it from there. I just went back on candy crush. Only having one jelly left my battery died in my phone dam! Then Jane went on and on it was doing my head in! Then someone importiant came into the room a nurse! in a very high pitch voice she said. 'Hello Marina, you are getting discharged this afternoon so get your things together. Then you can take beauitful son home! I bet your really proud parents and happy to have a little brother hey!' She signs something on the end of Marina's bed. Marina smiles. 'Thank the midwife that helped me to bring my son into the world!' Jane looked at Marina like she was mad and I am not joking that was a bit over the top. The nurse smiled and walked out the room. Dad brings up Marina's suitcase and emetys her cupborads. 'Ok who going to carry this?' Dad asks.
'Clara!' Leo pointed out. Dad hands the suitcase to me. I just pull a face at Leo he just smiles. Dad puts Joseph in a carrier to take him on the road home. Marina puts on her flip flops then we head out, Dad carrying Joseph! We get to the car, Jane goes in hers. Joseph takes up the best seat and i'm in the middle. Joseph is fast asleep with the toy Marina's Mum knitted for him. It was very special.
It was half eight PM and I was on my bed texting Dan! We were texting smiles most of the time and I was also on my laptop. I was muti tasking, what I do best! Then I put Mum's number in my phone I found the piece of paper in my pocket. Dan had some work to do with his Dad so he had to go. I just sent 'hi xxx' to Mum, hoping she will reply. Dad knocked on the door and wondered in. 'Say doesn't your friend Jess like babies?' Dad asks randomly. Why does he ask about my best friend. Jess loves babies but, it's only her and her twin sister Jayne. She never had a younger sibling. Jess is the youngest! 'Yes why?' I ask confused of what he said. 'Nothing I just asked Tim and Leanne to see Joseph!' That's Jess's Mum and Dad and they don't want to see a baby that actually not my brother. In real words; Why does Dad not inform me in what he does involing my friends. 'Dad really...
'You know that you need to tell me. Plus, why do you want the world to see him? he just going to be another Leo. Don't make a big deal!' I let it out there. Dad face went bright red 'I do because he my son ok, Clara your tried now go bed!' He didn't like what I was saying but, tough I don't care anymore! 'Why should I?' I answer back. I was rather enjoying this. I very rare fall out with Dad. 'Don't answer back miss, you are in trouble already. Are you jesours of Joseph?' What a stupid question! 'No why will I be?' I said in outrange. 'Who are you texting?' He asks, glaring at me with one eye brow lifted. 'Does it matter?' I asked while standing up. 'Yes Clara it does if you don't tell me on the count of three you're going to be in big trouble!' Why does he want to know anyway. He just keeps jumping to conclusions, which is annoying me!
'Just Dan, why?' What was the problem here? Dad knew Dan very well! He snatched my phone off me and saw my last message to Mum! Busted!
'You call Dan Mum? Clara your mother doesn't mean anything she just pops back in your life all of a sudden! She is never going to text you. Just move on!' How could he say theses things about my Mum. She gave birth to me that must mean something! 'Dad so, she ran off with Taylor doesn't make the exuse for you to run off with Marina and start a family!' I think I took a bit to far there. 'Right young lady, this phone is mine and you go to bed right now or else!' He was really angry now! I could feel his man breath on my face while we stand there in battle. 'Clara go to bed now! How dare you speak to me like that!'
