After carrying he boxes from the car in the pouring rain, I was very much relieved when it was over. However, the hall was covered in boxes and Dad didn't want any of us stumbling over the boxes in case we broke something else. The removal men used the back door so this rule didn't apply to them. Getting the sofa over the next doors fence was an interesting idea of Dad's, I must say. Leo was used for some of the heavy furniture lifting as he didn't want to be seen as weak but I know Dad needed another pair of hands. Leo wasn't fooling anyone.

Marina was in charge of making the teas and coffees and unpacking all the boxes for the kitchen; She was very careful compared to myself and Leo. Dad also didn't want her doing much as health visitor told them in the last antenatal class that moving house would cause a lot so stress and wouldn't be a good idea. However, they did it anyway and Marina wanted everything to be prefect before the baby came.

My biggest concern was the find the rest of my coursework, text books and revision guides. I had my final exams less than a month away and I needed to study. It has been one stressful year and I took moving house not to well. I thought originally that Dad and Marina were going to the stay at the old house together when I up sticks to uni in a couple of years time. Then things changed very quickly when Marina found out she was pregnant and moving was the forefront of their minds. Dad and Marina have been together since I was seven years old and they got married when I was 10. I am pleased that Dad did get married again as he bought both myself and Leo up by himself after my mum walked out when I was two. However, I was brought up as a Catholic and my dad sinned by divorcing and marrying again. I attend a strict all girls catholic school and Leo attended the all boys school.

In the last couple of months I have been looking at colleges and sixth forms and it has been hard work trying to work out what to do next. I have been trying to work out where do I see myself in the next five years regarding a job. What are my strengths? What are my weaknesses? Do I have a passion with working with people?
These are the questions thrown at us on a daily basis by my tutor and teachers. I have no idea and Dad and Marina have been far too busy moving house to sit down and talk with me. So the last couple of months I had to be self efficient and independent.

Dad showed me my room when I found box containing my coursework. Dad opened the huge oak door with one hand and carried a box with the other. I was also carrying a heavy box with my name on it behind him. The powerful smell of paint hit me and made my eyes water. There was an old fireplace in the middle of the room, the flooring were bare, stripped floor boards and there was a big bay window which had a view of the distance sea. Too many houses in front were taking up the view. I had never lived by the sea before which filled me up with excitement.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Dad said while he put the box down by the fireplace. " This room was originally painted an unnerving yellow which was extremely bright. That's why Marina and I repainted it for you. Our room is just across the hall from here and we were greeted by the same painted walls." Dad said while looking around the room. I giggled and said " It would definitely get us up in the morning hey." Dad smiled. " I will leave you to unpack." Said Dad he then walked out the room and closed the door. I was left there staring out the window at that spectacular view.
