I was just a boy. A boy was big dreams to explore the world and one day meet a girl. I lived in wales with my mum in a cottage near serial fields. I had no idea who my father was to be honest.
That was the life I had until I did something about it. Well, things went from bad to worst as my mum was struggling to keep on form with bills and finance stuff. She had meltdowns and panic attacks as she couldn't afford to put food on the table. My mum worked but, her work did not cover for what we had to pay in rent. She worked as hard as she possibly could but, it was no use as the rent went higher and higher. We couldn't afford another place so, mum had to do what no mother had to do. Tried to find my Dad.
Mum had me when she was in her early twenties and Dad went off with someone else, leaving mum to look after me. Well, she couldn't cope any longer and tracked down Dad. (Taylor)
When mum finally tracked him down they kept in contact and mum found out what environment he was in and who he was living with. You know the stuff that any person would want to know. Dad lived in an apartment with his girlfriend Josie Andrews. Mum says that she sounded reasonable. Dad also told her that Josie has said on minable times that she has had kids of her own. Dad understood and accepted me into his place. I would keep in contact with mum just live with dad as he had a highly payee job and a suitable home.
I left my bedroom on the 18th of April. I remember that day well. My room was bare and empty with the same four grey walls. I had two suitcases and one rucksack. Well, I was ready to meet my Dad in real after 13 years. What Mum and Dad decided to meet half way and we swap me over to carry on the journey. Mum had a long time on the motorway as there was loads of traffic build ups due to road works. We finally met Dad in a service station car park. He had a electric blue sports car which was quite small. He was wearing a posh sort of coat with all buttons done up and his hair waxed up. Mine was just a mess. My face was surrounded by hair and over my hazel eyes.
Mum spoke to him for a while outside while, I sat in the front of Dad's car listening to maroon 5 one more night. I was also texting Calvin and Alex. (my best buds who still remain in Wales.) I f I could I would bring them with me and live with me, Dad and this girlfriend of his.
Mum came to the car to kiss me goodbye and wish me well. Dad went into the driving seat and started the engine, sounded more like a motor bike starting really. Dad pulled out and Mum waved me goodbye as we left the service station. We headed for the motorway and for my new home.
'So, Josh how school and stuff?' Dad asked me.
'Fine,' I replied.
'Have you got a girlfriend yet?' he asked me.
'Well, did before I left. When I told her I was moving, she freaked and said it was over.' Did I really have to say all of that?
'Don't worry, at my place you will love it dude.' Is he trying to be school or something. I know he thirty something but, seriously?
We arrived at some flats, this was very built up. We went through the flat opening door. 'Dad, I don't like lifts can I take the stairs?' I do actually never liked lifts, never will.
'Ok, I will beat you up then. If you want I take your stuff in the lift if that ok. You got lots of it and I don't want you to hurt yourself.' Sounds ok.
I dashed up the stairs well, with my jeans hanging down. I don't really care to be honest. We both got up there at the same time and Dad let me in. I carried some of my stuff in. Dad had already tidied the spare room because I was staying well, living. When he showed me on Skype it was filled with paper work and work junk. It was prefect. Dad told me as we were unloading the stuff from the car that Josie's daughter and son came to stay because their step mum was having a baby. He warned me that it might of smelled of perfume in the bathroom. of course I asked questions I wanted to know this girl that came to stay the night before also, Josie's daughter.
I off loaded my stuff in the bedroom and stuck up posters and my room my own. Then, Josie came in. She had blonde with red highlighted in her hair. 'You must be Taylor's son Josh?' She stepped into the room in jeans and a rolling stones T-Shirt. 'Yeah, I am. You must be Josie. Dad's girlfriend.' She moved her highlighted hair out of her eyes. 'Yeah, you seem nice enough. Make yourself at home Josh.' She stepped out of the room and I sat on my bed and starred out the window to watch the city go by.
