Silent Comfort [Nick's POV]

I've actually got a good idea for this picture, so let's hope it goes well.

She looked miserable. And it's only natural that she would. She got fired yesterday for endangering the life of another police officer and was forced to move back to Bunnyburrow to work on her parents' carrot farm. Even though she insisted I didn't have to, I came back with her just to make sure she was ok. And she really wasn't. Her parents noticed and told me that she wouldn't talk to them, so they asked me to talk to her instead.

I just stood there, a few meters away from Judy, watching as she sat there, her ears droopy and purple eyes lifeless. I knew she wasn't in the mood for talking, so I did the only thing I could think of. I simply walked up to her and hugged her from the side. Hugs always used to work back in Zootopia when Judy was upset, so why not use them here?

"It's gonna be ok," I cooed softly into her ear, and I heard her scoff lightly.

"I got fired, Nick," Judy stated simply and sadly. "I might aswell have gotten you fired too since you won't leave me alone."

"I'm doing this to help you," I said gently. "I hate seeing you like this, Judy, and I want to do something about it."

"Then go back to Zootopia," she insisted, her voice cracking slightly. "You still have a job, and I don't want you get fired too."

I looked up at Judy to see tears welling up in her eyes and she was trying to hold them back, but the trauma was too much. A few of them rolled down her cheeks and before I knew it, she was sobbing.

"Hey," I whispered smoothly. "Hey, come here."

I let go of Judy and knelt down to her height, holding my arms out for her to hug me. She looked down at the ground as more tears fell from her eyes, and I scooped her up into a warm hug. She hesitated at first, but soon gave in and wrapped her own arms around my neck and she cried into my shoulder. I held her tightly for what seemed like forever, until she slowly let go of me, pulling back as she did so.

I cupped her cheek in my hand and wiped away the tears streaming down her face with my thumb, causing her to smile lightly at me. I could see her parents watching and smiling sadly from behind Judy, but I knew they didn't mind.

"You ok now?" I asked, staring into her beautiful purple eyes.

"Mhm," Judy replied, nodding like a little child.

"Good," I said, patting her head before getting up. "Now, you ready to make the world a better place?"

Sorry this one is a little short. It was only a small idea that I had, but I thought it fit the picture well.
