Wild Things
Because
I'd rather
stand out
than fade
away.
Because
I'd rather
be a wild thing
than a plastic
doll.
Because
the cool
kids don't
know how
to live
their life
free.
(they're not
much cooler
than me. )
Because
I won't
apologize
for being a
wild thing.
I won't
apologize for
being me
(and you
can try being
everyone else
but you'll
find that
there is a cage
when I
can
walk free.)
Because
I'm a wild
thing,
and wild things
hold the wings
we're not
angels,
we're not
dressed in
white
but we are free
and
the
thing
you
have
felt
was
missing
all this time
is the freedom
of the wild things.
