AMA-Con: The Compilation

PREFACE

All stories have to begin somewhere.

This is how ours began...

For the past few weeks, the fandom (well, The Corner specifically) has done a good job promoting the talented artist and writers they have.

St. Brats Exhibit (Hello babies! Special shoutout to Bree and Mira! Thanks for the posters!) showcased the talented artists and editors of the fandom.

Corner Collabs showed how powerful the union of words and images were.

A few days later Kat ( kathartickat in WP or IShipWhatIShip in twitter) posted a tweet wondering how it would be like if writers got together and just exchanged stories.

Being the enabler that I am, I replied to her tweet and the rest as they say is history.

To the writers who accepted my invitation, THANK YOU!

AlDub-MaiChard Authors Convention will be nothing but a plan without all of you.

It has been one hell of a time for all of us. I know you have been under stress and pressure trying to get your prompts across and hoping that whatever you (we) wrote will be satisfactory to our readers and of course to our prompters.

It was a blast talking to all of you. Our GC served as one of my few happy places on twitter (shoutout to Team N.I.C.K. a.ka. Kat and The PowerPuffs). Because of you guys I will never be able to look at Fawkes, Hedwig, helicopter, Happee toothpaste, turtles, Nelson, and God knows what else, in the same way.

Now, with the publishing of this book, our time as writers of AMACon has come to a close.

Thank you for the laughs and the fond memories!

My laptop is open, waiting for the day when we will all write again.
