His Divine Intervention: Epilogue

RJ has been back in the country for almost a year now and a part of him still misses New York.

After Divine left him in the hotel room, he packed up and informed Jeff that his talent was a no-show. He was still given some pay for his time and it was still sufficient enough to send home.

He would walk the streets of New York hoping to see Divine to at least invite her out for coffee but he has not seen hide or hair of her. He ended up searching for her videos online but could not bear to watch them. Somehow, seeing her being touched by other men makes him irrationally jealous. Though how many times he tells himself that it's her job, nothing will make the possessiveness disappear.

His mother, though still not fully recovered, is coping with her illness. He's just glad that he's back home to help out and be with her.

He graduated with honors and he's now gainfully employed. Not earning big bucks but at least enough to help his family.

He's now walking the streets of Makati on his way to work. Hands in his pockets and earphones encasing his head, he walked steadily ignoring the stares from girls (and even non-girls) that he would always get. He does not care. His mind is in New York.

Lost in his thoughts, he did not notice the girl who was walking the opposite direction.

"Aray!"

"I'm so sorry! Are you hurt?"

RJ found himself sitting on the ground. The girl offered him her hand and looking up, he was astonished to see Divine in the flesh.

"Divine! It's you!"

The girl held his hand and looked at him in bewilderment.

"RJ?"

"Divine!"

Still clasping his hand she gave him her sweetest smile.

"I left Divine behind in New York. You may call me Maine."
