Chapter 6

When I woke up the next morning the whole house smelled like pizza.
I got up and went to the kitchen to find everyone sitting around the table eating.
I skipped breakfast, as much as I wanted pizza I'm on a diet.
I went up to my room and changed into
black high-wasted shorts and a Dan Howell shirt.
I did my makeup and straightened my hair.
I picked up my phone and called Brendon.
"Hello?" He answered sounding halfway asleep.
"Hey. This is Meghan, from the concert."
He instantly perked up.
"Meghan! How are you?"
We talked for awhile then he paused.
"Are you doing anything today?" He asked.
I wasn't and if I was I would clear my schedule anyway.
"No. I'm all alone today."
I could practically hear the smile on his face.
"Do you wanna hang out? Do some fun shit today?" He asked, I could hear the hope in his voice.
"Sure! What time?"
He didn't take to long to answer.
"Can I pick you up at 10?"
I agreed and hung up.
I ran downstairs and yelled
"He's picking my up at 10! I need advice!"
I was freaking out, I couldn't meet Brendon looking like shit after I looked good last night.
Jaydon was the only one that knew I met and went to dinner with Brendon.
"Meg! That's awesome!" Jaydon said, smiling.
"Who? Did you meet someone?!" Michaela asked sounding half offended I didn't tell her.
"Oh...guess I didn't tell you, I meet Brendon."
She smiled and hugged me.
"Are you serious!"
"And we went to dinner since we share a birthday."
She smiled and dragged me upstairs.
"I'm gonna do your makeup and I'll help you pick out what to wear."
She did a light smokey eye and pink lips.
I changed into a pair of high waisted jean shorts and a black crop top.
Michaela picked out a pair of black wedges and straightened my shoulder length hair.
"You look cute!" She said admiring her work.
I got a text from Brendon.
"I'm here."
When I walked downstairs Jaydon shook his head.
"No. I can't let my sister go on a date looking like that."
He got up and walked me outside.
"Jaydon, I'm an adult. I think I can walk myself to meet my friend."
Brendon was standing by his car and the smile faded when he saw Jay.
Jay pulled me into a hug and said "Love you! Have fun!"
I turned around and glared at him.
Brendon smiled and opened the door for me.
He pulled off and drove to the boardwalk.
"Is that your boyfriend?"
I laughed "No! That would be weird. He's my brother." Brendon smiled and I saw relief on his face.
*1 YEAR LATER*
I walked into the school and put my bags down.
I've been working in the office for 6 months.
I enjoyed my job and I've made some really good friends.
I sat down at my desk and started on my paperwork.
"Good morning Mrs. Swartz." Chloe said.
I smiled and looked up to her.
"Morning Mrs. Ginter. How are you?"
She smiled as she poured her coffee.
"Good. I'm so tired though. Amber kept us up all night."
By us she meant her and Cameron.
They've been married for 2 years and they have a 3 month old baby.
"Sorry to hear that. If you need any help today I'll be here."
She nodded and shuffled through some papers.
"Will do. See you later."
I was left alone with my thoughts.
Brendon and I have been friends for a year now.
I want to be his girlfriend but he hasn't asked me out, maybe I was wrong and he just wanted a friend.
I spent my day doing paperwork and decided I would go out tonight, I'm off tomorrow so why not get drunk?
I went to Chloe's room and talked to her for awhile. She had to be home and I told her I would finish doing making her copies and straighten up her room.
As I was cleaning Brendon called.
"Hey! What are you doing tonight?" He curiously asked.
I live in Cali and he lives in Las Vegas so I was confused.
"I don't know. I want to go out but I will most likely end up watching a movie or something. What about you?"
There was a short pause.
"Same old thing. I have to go to the studio and then I will probably go live."
I was hoping he would say he was here and wanted to hang out.
"Oh. Well I better go, I've got work to finish."
I hung up and packed my things.
When I pulled into the driveway I noticed the door was closed. Jaydon didn't ever go anywhere without telling me so I figured he was in the shower of asleep.
"Meghan!" He yelled and hugged me.
"Go upstairs and get ready, since I've got work I'm taking you out for your birthday tonight."
I  nodded and went upstairs.
There was a single rose by the door.
I picked it up and smiled.
When I opened the door there was a bag and a bouquet of roses.
"Holy shit!" I said as I pulled out the dress.
It looked like something you would see on a red  carpet.
It was a long flowing black dress with crystals sewed onto it. Beside that was a matching pair of heels.
There was also a note.
"I know you'll looks stunning in this. Someone will be here to do your makeup and hair later.
I will see you soon.

I knew this was Brendon. I don't know what's in store for me but I know it will exciting.
