I woke up and Brendon was still asleep.
I got up and took a shower, and did a lot of thinking.
"Babe?" Brendon asked from outside the door, a hint of worry in his voice.
"Yes? Is everything okay?"
He sighed, and opened the door.
"It's Michaela."
I quickly washed the shampoo from my hair and wrapped a towel around myself.
I ran into the bedroom and Michaela was crying, in Devin's arms.
"What's wrong?"
I asked, too calmly.
Michaela looked weak and Devin's eyes were puffy and red.
Devin moved exposing her face.
My heart began to pound faster.
Her face was cut and bruised.
"Oh my god!" I yelled trying to hold my tears back.
"She went out last night but I was tired, she didn't even tell me she left and I was asleep."
Devin was hysterical.
"When I woke up this morning she was on the porch, laying this way."
Someone did this to her, and I knew exactly who.
