Chapter 45

"It's time for our vacation!" Brendon yelled in my ear, waking me.
I sat up and rolled my eyes.
"It's 6 o clock. Why are you waking me up? Why and why are you up?"
He kissed my temple and sat Maddie on the bed.
"She woke me up."
He walked into the bathroom and turned the shower on.
"Maddie? Why are you awake?"
"When's the baby gonna be here?"
I smiled and pulled her onto my lap.
"Soon. Lay down and go to sleep, mommy and daddy have to get ready." She laid on the pillow and pulled the covers up around her.
I got up and went down to the kitchen.
I made eggs and toast, then sat at the counter with a glass of orange juice.
"Baby? Have you seen my notebook?"
I turned around to see a panicked (😏😏😏)
Brendon standing there.
"No? What notebook?"
"The one all my songs are in!" He yelled, startling me.
Brendon and I have been together for 7 years and he rarely yells.
"Bren, I honestly don't know. Maybe Maddie took it. I will go see."
He was tense and stressed.
I touched his shoulder and he relaxed.
"I'll be back. Just eat your breakfast and don't worry."
He nodded and went into the kitchen.
I found the notebook in Maddie's room.
I sat on her bed and opened the book.
The first page had a picture of us taped to the page.
With the caption 'The love of my life, Meghan.'
I couldn't help but smile.
I turned the page and his handwriting filled the page.
Meghan, when I first laid eyes on you I knew I was going to marry you. You were absolutely stunning in that little black dress. You're the love of my life and I know I've been stupid and done stupid things but that's done. Our family may be small but I love all of you, even little Luke. I'm so lucky to call you mine, I never would picture myself getting married but when I saw you all that changed. You're an amazing partner and an even better mom.
I love you so much and wouldn't trade anything for the world. I'm so glad to call you Mrs. Urie.
A tear fell onto the page and I smiled.
"I'm the lucky one" I whispered to myself.
I flipped through to a random page and saw a new song.
[HEY! SO IM GONNA INTERRUPT THIS: Brendon's returning album is going to be Death Of A Bachelor.]
It was a song called Golden Days.
As I started reading the words Maddie yelled for me.
I put the notebook in the hall and went to our room where she was laying.
"I'm hungry." She said crawling out from the covers.
"Alright. Let's go get some breakfast."
Brendon was chugging a glass of water and scrolling on his phone.
I sat Maddie at the table and fixed her toast and eggs.
"Bren? Your book is in the hall."
He blew me a kiss and started to walk up the stairs.
"And finish packing while you're up there."
He gave me a thumbs up and kept walking.
"When's uncle Jaydon getting here?" Maddie asked taking a bite.
"Soon. Are you excited?"
She nodded and kept eating.
I went upstairs to see how the packing was going.
I could hear Brendon talking and it seemed important so I tried to stay quiet.
"Yeah. Actually I can come in for like an hour but I'm going on a trip with Meghan today."
I rolled my eyes, he's been working a new album and has had to reschedule recording times because of me - a lot.
"Yeah, okay see ya soon. Yeah. Bye."
I walked in and sat on the bed beside him.
"We can leave tomorrow." I said, intertwining our fingers.
"No, Meghan you've wanted to finish baby shopping and do some shopping for yourself and we haven't."
I frowned.
"But your album is important."
He shook his head.
"Meghan. Like I said before, you're so much more important that my music."
I kissed his cheek.
"You can go to the studio and we can just leave for Arizona later than we planned."
Brendon squeezed my hand.
"Are you sure you don't mind?"
I shook my head and got up to finish packing.
"If you want to go on to the studio, I can get Jay to bring me by later."
He nodded and kissed my cheek.
"Okay. See you later. Love you."

I packed out suitcases in the car and waited on Jaydon and Maddie.
While I was waiting I decided to take some snapchats.
"Hi guys! On my way to meet Brendon at the studio!"
Plus a bunch of random selfies.

I went inside and took Maddie to see Brendon while Jaydon packed the suitcases into Brendon's car for the drive.
"Daddy!" She yelled running to him.
Everyone mumbled 'aww' in unison.
Maddie grew tired and decided she was ready to go home.
I focused on Brendon. He seemed happy to be recording music again.
When we separated he lost his passion for it and it never really came back until recently when our lives fell back into place.
It's a crazy and hectic life but I wouldn't change it for the world.
Hey! So I'm pretty sure this is shorter than my usual chapters but long ones are coming, trust me. Also I've been thinking about starting a Brendon imagine book on my other page so let me know if you would read that bc I've got some ideas. ❤️
