*2 days later*
"You may go home today, but be ready to bring Brittany back in."
Brendon grabbed my hand.
"Have a good evening." The doctor said shaking Brendon's hand.
I kissed Brendon, hoping now he would go back to normal.
Ever since I went into labor Brendon has been a nervous wreck.
"She's gonna be fine."
"What if she's not?!"
He defensively asked.
"Bren. Calm down. Please."
He packed my bags while I changed the twins into P!ATD onesies.
The doctor came in, he seemed relived to us but upset at the same time.
"We need to take Brittany back for more testing, we've spotted something on her x-ray."
They took her and a nurse came back to explain.
Brendon was barely able to hold tears back, I was trying to be strong for him.
"It's possibly a blood clot. If it moves, unfortunately she won't make it."
My heart shattered.
Brendon wrapped his arms around my torso and buried his head in my neck, I felt his fears hit my skin.
"She will be in room 204 getting tests and x-rays done. You two just stay here and relax."
We nodded and she left, even she was saddened by the news.
I was able to take a small nap with Brendon.
A loud voice boomed over the intercom as alarms played.
I knew exactly what it was.
So did Brendon.
