I wake up but this time I'm not in my bed. I'm in a hospital bed. I look around the right of the room and make my way to the left. I'm surprised to see that my dad is sitting right there with my mom.

"Hey love." , my mom says tenderly.

"Are you ok? Feeling better?"

I squint and give her a smile. "Yeah. I'm fine. What happened? Did I fall?" I ask, as I feel a sharp pain in my head.

"No sweetie. You collapsed in your fifth hour onto your desk."

I then recall everything that happened earlier.

"Wait. Dad? Why are you here?"

He smiles and replies, "Your mother called me and said you were in the hospital."

He let's out a small laugh, "How is it you've only just left my place and already you've found your way into a hospital?"

I laugh and my mother calls in a nurse. Probably to tell them I'm awake. After the doctor checks out my condition and asks me all sorts of questions about my diet, what I've been drinking, and if I've traveled anywhere out of the country recently, he admits me to leave. My dad gets in his car and I wave goodbye as he drives back to his place. When me and my mom get home she's quiet.

I start to head up to my room when suddenly she asks, "Melissa, could you please sit down? We need to talk."

I look over and she's sitting on the couch in the living room. I head towards the couch then sit down. She looks at me with a sad and worried expression.

"Yeah mom? What is it?" She looks down at her hands that are folded in her lap. "Well... When you were asleep in the hospital...", a tear escapes her eye and she sniffs.

"Me and your father think it'd be best if you went back to live with him."

I start to speak but she continues, "Ever since you got back from staying with your dad, you've been getting these fainting episodes.."

She sniffles, "So we think.... you should go back to the city and live there. Where it's safe." More tears roll down her face but for some reason I don't think she's telling me everything. I just give her a hug.
