I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Andrew?
"Before you get pissed, just hear me out. Please?"
I sigh and cross my arms. "Go ahead.", I tell him. He lowers his hands that he had raised and places them in his pockets.
"Okay. Thank you.", he sighs. "I came over cause I wanted to ask if you would maybe reconsider my offer?" I feel myself furrow my eyebrows.
"What offer?"
He chuckles, "You've already forgotten?" He runs his hand through his hair and chuckles something to himself.
"Ya know... About me asking you out? I wanted to ask if maybe.." He takes a step closer to me and rolls his eyes at himself I think.
"If there was anything I could do to make you reconsider?" I feel my face heat up and suddenly the porch light turns off. Probably from our lack of movement. I can feel his breath on my cheek as he speaks, "Will you please go out with me?"
I can't seem to move my feet. To get away from him or push him away. He seems to have that effect on me. I don't even want to move anymore. I mean, why try? If I think about it... He's never really given me a reason to hate him. He's been nothing but nice besides that incident in the hallway. That was really more of an accident though. I can feel him get closer and I realize he's leaning in. I do the same. I feel his soft lips close onto mine. Our lips move in sync and my insides turn to mush. I can't resist the urge to run my hands through his hair. It's so soft. I feel his tongue attempt to touch mine. I don't refuse it and now we're officially making out. When we break the kiss, I'm absolutely astonished. I just kissed Andrew... And liked it.
He picks my bag up off the floor and smiles at me then asks, "Going somewhere? You weren't planning on running away were you?" He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me closer as if doing so would make me change my mind.
"No. I'm not running away. I'm spending the night at Penny's house. Connor should be here any minute." He sighs then chuckles, "So I guess I should get going. I'm gonna assume that kiss was a yes?" I smirk to myself.
"Yes, that was a yes."
He smiles back, "Good. Glad I could change your mind." He turns to leave but turns back around real quick and kisses me on the cheek.
"Goodnight.", he smirks back at me. Then he's gone. Not a minute later, Connor pulls up in his shiny red Ferrari and the porch light turns on.
He smiles at me then jokes, "Hanging around in the dark Melissa? Creepy." I laugh at his joke, throw my bag into the backseat, then hop into the front.
"Just drive stupid."
