After what seemed like hours, the bell finally rang. I got up from my desk and quickly grabbed my bag. I started to make my way over to the door then suddenly someone tapped my shoulder.
It was Andrew... "Hey.. You forgot your pen.", he gestured to the pen in his hand. I was almost certain I had put my pen in my bag along with my notebook. I must've dropped it. Penny walks past us and gives me a look. I ignore her and grab the pen and our hands accidentally touched, causing me to drop it onto the floor. He just started laughing. I quickly grabbed the pen and ran out of the class before even looking at him to say thank you.
I went to my usual spot in 6th hour, in the back of the class. I was joined by Penny, who decided she would sit by me today, even though she loved sitting in the very front. She whispered when the teacher wasn't looking,"So?", I gave her a confused look. She rolled her eyes and checked to see if the teacher was looking. "How'd it go?", I pretended to have no clue what she was talking about,"How'd what go?" She rolled her eyes at me, sighed, and pulled out a piece of paper and started writing. I'm getting a lot of notes today... She throws the note over to me and I read,"I'm talking about you and the new guy! You were sitting right next to him last hour! I wanna know every detail!"
I looked over at her curious face. She obviously really wanted to know...
I grabbed the pen from my bag and suddenly saw I had two of the same pen... He gave me his pen? I suddenly felt heat rushing up to my cheeks considering the possibility that he wanted an excuse to talk to me.. I grabbed one of the pens and began to write,
"There really isn't anything to say... I mean.. He's my new partner since he decided to sit right next to me but that's it..."
I tossed the note over to her and she sqeaked which caused me to jump in my seat. She turned her head and gave me a look. I laughed at the face she was making. She jotted something down and threw the note onto my desk,
"Are you freaking crazy!? Ugh!! You lucky bastard!! He's a total hottie and you don't even appreciate it :( "
I couldn't stop myself from snickering and she just pointed to her eye and pretended a sad little tear was rolling down her face.
