The day was pretty uneventful. Andrew was nowhere to be found, I didn't faint, and I had pretty easy homework. Once I got home, I found my mom in the kitchen getting ready to start dinner.

"Hey sweetie! How was school?"

I sit down at the kitchen island then reply, "Well, you know, the usual. Nothing eventful, really." She gives me a smile, "Okay well I'm starting dinner so I'll call you when its ready but here take some tea up with you."

I quickly replied, "Oh um. Actually, I'm gonna go spend the night at Penny's house if that's okay?"

She sighed, "Well I guess you can have leftovers for dinner tomorrow night okay?" We both laugh.

"Okay. I'm gonna go start getting ready. Love you.", I called as I ran up the stairs leaving the tea on the counter.

"Love you too!", my mom calls up.

I closed the door to my room and sat on my bed. Why was my head hurting so much? My vision started getting blurry. Just as I was about to give up and faint, a sharp tap sound snapped me out of it. I looked around but couldn't see anything. I heard it again. My pain has gone away now.

Suddenly I hear the noise and realize it's coming from my window. I walk over and move the curtains to the side then unlatch and open the window. I look out and don't see anything for a bit. My eyes are trying to adjust to the darkness. Then I see a dark figure next to the tree in the front yard. I can't quite see who it is. I think it's Connor?

He must think I'm sneaking out or something. What a doofus. I laugh to myself then close the window and curtains. I quickly pack all my stuff into my duffle bag then head downstairs and outside.

"Bye mom!" I call as I leave. Once I'm outside, I go to the tree in the yard.

"Connor, you know I'm not sneaking out rig-"

Suddenly the figure moves from the shade of the tree into the light of the porch that turns on from movement.

"Who's Connor?", he asks. I drop my bag and stumble back.

"What the hell are you doing here Andrew!?"
