Gone

I sit down in my seat and pulled out my notebook for the video we're watching. I can't help but glancing over at Andrew's desk throughout class wondering where he went. After class I start packing up my notebook and papers then walk through the rows of desks to the door.

"Boo!" Suddenly someone was on my back, hugging me.

"Ha! Scared ya!", Penny says while laughing.

"You can't jump on top of me and say I got scared. You moved me." I laugh.

She starts walking with me, "Well, we have some very important business to discuss..." She winks at me.

"Penny.." I sigh, "No presents, not a lot of people, and no embarrassment please..." She laughs and her face starts turning pink.

"Come on Melissa. You know I love you too much to EMBARRASS you in any way. She giggles. I smile and we part ways. After school, I head towards the parking lot and still don't see Andrew. His car is gone too. I'm not sure if I should be worried or not, with him leaving like that. I ignore his absence and walk to Connor and his car. On the way home, he blabs on and on about the party and a little bit more about Andrew being a "big meany for not coming".

When I got home I walked in, went upstairs, and laid down on my bed. I remembered that I had a ton of homework and grabbed my bag. I started working on English then worked my way down the list of homework I needed to do. By the time I finished everything, it was already morning. Fainting and missing classes hasn't helped me catch up on homework but finally I'm all done with the work. I put everything into my bag and changed.

Today's outfit: a plain grey shirt, black jeans, and my charm bracelet. Again, I kept my hair down, not liking the look of it. I grabbed my bag and went downstairs. My mom wasn't up yet so I ate some cereal and took a sip of tea from the fridge then headed outside. I took a few steps before I looked up. Only to see it wasn't Connor who was there waiting for me... It was Andrew.
