***Same Day
***Harry's POV

With my hellish nightmare and humiliating procedure that morning, then the whole Zoë thing at school, Bea and I needed some time together.

After ditching school, where I almost told her I loved her in the damn loo, I thought seriously about telling her. When, where and how were clouding my brain. I had never fallen in love before and I didn't want to mess it up.

I shook my head for clarity and breathed deeply for courage. I got out of my truck, leaving my backpack since I was pretty sure we wouldn't be studying.

I walked up the pathway just as Bea got out of her car. She almost skipped up the steps. I would've ran had it not been for my damn heart condition.

"I've never ditched class before!" Bea giggled as she checked the mailbox on the porch.

"I hope you're not mad at me."

"Of course not, Harry."

I knew you were a rebel.

Bea let out a happy sound, put the mail in her backpack and unlocked the door. I took a step but she abruptly turned around, bumping into me.

"Oh my gosh, your procedure! How did it go?"

We laughed and I held onto her shoulders to steady her balance.

"It went well. I have a follow-up in a couple weeks to go over the results."

"I'm so relieved. I'm so sorry I didn't ask sooner. That was selfish of me."

"It's okay, Bea. Really. It wasn't a normal day, erm, morning at school."

Bea nestled her fingers in my shirt. And I kissed her. Her left hand slid up, grasping my shirt collar while her right slid down and off my body.

Our kiss fell apart when she opened the door and stepped inside, pulling me in. I swung the door shut as she dropped her backpack to the floor and our bodies collided with a giggle.

I wrapped my arms around my girlfriend and she looked up at me with a smile just begging me to kiss her. I was already under her spell, so I did.

My sides were warmed as she ran her hands up and down, pulling me closer to her. I slid my tongue across her top lip, earning a tiny moan and our tongues met.

My hands pressed her body even closer to mine while hers clasped around my back. It was our attempt to stop anyone or anything from separating us.

Our kiss fell apart naturally and I took a deep breath, tracing her temple with my fingers. I let my hand rest on the side of her neck, caressing her skin with my thumb.

This is it.

"Are you thirsty or hungry, Harry?"

I had to chuckle.

"What?" she tapped my chest. "You're still my guest. Just want to be polite."

"No, no, it's not that. But yeah, water would be great, thank you."

"Okay. Be right back."

As I watched Bea walk into the kitchen, I couldn't wait any longer. I took a deep breath in and with my foot pivoting towards the kitchen, I let it out.
