IT'S CONFUSING!

chapter 14

"I was always yours Aiden "
"Always ."
When those words left my lip .. I watched Aiden's expression carefully. I watched him staring at me and blinking his eyes a few times , then going back to do the same thing.

I tried to sniffle the giggles that were rising up in my throat.

I tried.

By the time Aiden realized what I had just said , I was giggling my guts out and clapping like a freaking penguin. I mean you don't see him dumbstruck all the time . He always had some crisp comebacks.

Now Aiden Ruth speechless is not something that you see every day and I intend to make the most of it while it lasts.

I glanced at his direction only to find him looking at me with sheer concentration , like he was trying his best to memorize every single detail about my face.
I squirmed under his powerful gaze .
Not because it made me feel uncomfortable but because I felt really cautious about how I looked .
I did wanna look good for Aiden but at that time I knew I looked like a trash can covered in dusky sand.

I tried to look away from his powerful brown orbs , which I knew will hold me captive for an eternity.
Aiden on the other had started to pull my face towards his direction as if he had realized what I was about to do.
"Say it again Keiria "

Aiden said with sheer desire that it made me shiver against him a little.

I gathered the last ounce of courage left in me and said
"I was always yours Aiden . I will always be yours. "
By the time I was done with my response Aiden seemed to have moved dangerously close to me.
Usually I would have moved back on instincts but this time I stayed put in his car seat. I myself was in trance at my new found confidence.

He was just mere inches away from my face , I knew that my face was as red as a tomato but I still stood my ground.
Aiden pulled me into an embrace and I gladly let him pull me towards him . I loved being near him .
"I thought that I will never see the day that those words come out of your lips "
Aiden whispered into my ears.
He took my face in his hands and moved his face too close to mine.
I closed my eyes once his face was only an inch away from me.
I held my breath anticipating his next move.
I felt his soft lips pressed against my forehead. I wanted to groan in frustration but I didn't want to give him the pleasure of knowing the effect he had on me.
Aiden rested his head on my head and that made me sigh into his chest.
"Not yet love . "
"I want our first kiss to be perfect "
"Just like you "

Aiden whispered into my head and pulled back to his seat.

"Such a tease"

I grumbled in my seat . Though I knew what Aiden just said made my insides tingle with delight, i still wanted to stomp my feet like a child and cry. I felt like a kid being deprived of her favourite candy.

"Oh I know right ?"

Aiden winked in my direction as one of his hands found mine.
I rolled my eyes at him and looked outside at the beautiful serene in front of us as a smile made its way to my lips thinking about our intertwined fingers.

By the time we were back to my house it was around 8 .
The night was star studded. I loved gazing at the beautiful blackness adorned by little twinkling lights .
It somehow made me smile, no matter what was going on in my life.
But that night it wasn't the twinkling stars that made me smile it was the fact that Aiden wants me in a way I never thought he will.

The car came to stop in our front porch and Aiden jumped out almost immediately from his seat while i kept looking at him with a puzzled expression etched in my face.
