IT'S CONFUSING!

chapter 19

" Ashes .

Everywhere I turned, all i could see was ashes.

The smoke was thick  as a blanket covering the entire area from where I stood .

I had to strain my eyes to look beyond the misty fog . I could see a faint  orange-red glow on the far end of road with flecks of gold dancing dangerously  on top of them

I  looked at my surrounding and found out that I  was standing in the middle of a road wearing nothing but my tank and shorts . My hair was let down and were thrown all over my face .  My cloths were torn. I could feel something oozing  from my head and when i touched my head with my hand a small scream escaped my lips .

It was blood.

I could also feel throbing pain rising from the nape of my neck and shooting right to my head .

When I looked at my other hand I found that I was clutching  onto something , it was a hoody.

A red one.

Something  was very very familiar  with the way that  it looked and smelt.

I was all alone .
In the middle  of an unknown road .
With no one right by my side

I knew that something was very wrong .
The air around me smelt like ,
Smoke ,
Fear and
Death

When  I was too busy funding out as to what was happening around me that i almost jumped when  I felt someone touch my bare legs .

I looked down to find a small girl
Looking at me .  She was holding onto  a black pony.  She was dressed in a knee length white night dress. Her hair were wild curls of  black.  Her eyes were  of same color  as mine. 

big dark brown orbs with green flecks.

I knelt down so that I could have a better look at her .

Her skin was porcelain white.

She looked so young .
She looked so pure .
She looked so innocent.

"Hey baby bhoo what are you doing alone in this late hour ? "

I asked her with a gentle smile on my face . I knew that she was scared and i just wanted to let her know that I won't hurt her .

" I.. I uh.. I don't know whe... I don't know where I am... an uh.. and I'm scared.. itsuh..so dark "

She mumbled , her eyes bimering with tears .

"Heyy .. it's okay .. your safe now .
I've got you . I've got you . Don't cry bhoo ."

I tried to soothe her but when I tried to touch her she looked straight at me. 
There was something odd in the way that she looked at me.  I backed my hand away  from her for some unknown reason

And slowly.
very slowly one side of her lips lifted up into a snarl .
She took a  black metal dagger from her pony. It was covered in dried blood and she lunged towards my direction.
I was kneeling and I tried to scramble away from her but I was too late.
She was only mere inches away from me.
