IT'S CONFUSING!

chapter 8

I made my way into my house both confused  and giddy.  "Keiria honey why don't you go get yourself cleaned .. um to look more 'presentable'?  "My mom  chirped with a hint of sarcasm  in her words.
"Well I'm not that hungry mom. " I countered. But before I could  head up to my room my stomach started  making  sounds like a dying  whale.
"Good lord! Can my life get  any better?" I sighed to myself as I turned to face the  small group of audience  in front of me.  "Well it seems like your stomach  is ratting  you out hon "  my mom stated with a faint smile playing  on her lips. I got a glimpse  of Aiden from the corner of my eyes chuckling  silently  next to her. "Great! Just freaking  great! I've not even been around  him for a whole minute  and I'm already  making  a huge fool of myself ." I cursed my stupid  self as I tried to reason with my mom. "Mom it's been a long tiring  day and I have school  tomorrow plus I have homework  to fin.." I was cut mid sentence  when my mom gave me a pointed look   " it's alright  now. It can wait. Since both  you and I know how 'sincere' you are with your homework " my mom replied  smugly . I gave out a huge huff as I made my way to my dining. 
I looked  up to see Aiden looking  at me, more like assessing  me. "What? Is something  wrong with my face or is it your maniac brain?" I snapped at him when my mom left to get me a dinner plate. Aiden gave me a dry look but I could  sense a  bit of smile forming  in his sculpted lip. "Stop thinking  about him you love sick nut case ! Sculpted lip? Really now? Are we comparing  him to a statue ?" I scolded myself inwardly.  I took a deep calming  breathe to get hold of myself " get a grip Keiria.  Don't let him know that his presence  has such effects on you."
I chanted to myself. 
"So you are back in town I guess?" I enquired Aiden as I crossed my arms over my chest to at least  look  a little bit more  intimidating.  "Well you can say that . I take it that you have been stalking  me then? " He stated cocking his head to one side as he  looked   me straight  in the eye.  " 
" Ha! Well if you declare your arrival to the whole damn world by updating  your status in all the social  websites ever  known to man ,it is not that difficult  to know about it sooner or later. Either you are still stuck in the eighteenth century thinking  that a little  birdie told me about your arrival or your brain is still in the size of a pea. " I retorted.  Seriously!  This guy brings out the worst in me. Sometimes  it is so scary about  the undeniable  fact that 'I' let his words seep into my skin.
If looks could kill,Aiden Ruth would be six foot into the  ground  by now.
He put his hands up in a gesture  of mock surrender as he said "I'm sorry love. Just kidding.  No hard feelings  now. " .
Love ? Is this guy even for real? First he gives me false hope that he is still interested  in me and then he asks me the most un ethical  thing ever to be uttered  and now he has the freaking  balls to March into my life again when I am trying  to heal from the wounds that he gave me in the first place! 
I was seething  on the inside .
"Love? Did you just call me love ? After all the fuckin things you did to me?  You call me love! " I questioned  through  my gritted teeth. " well it is just a NICK name. No harm no foul. Dont get any false hope now. In fact you are not my type "he said shrugging  his shoulders  like he didn't  have the care in the world that his words  would hurt me. 
"That's  it! Get the hell out of MY house you fuck face. " I growled at
Aiden as I stood up , pushing  my antique  chair towards  the wall.
"Sorry grandma . I will get some better replacements " I muttered to my self as I shot daggers at the filthy piece of dirt sitting  in front of me. "I. Hate. You." I seethed to Aiden who has happened  to realize  about the wrath he had  just bought upon himself. 
I saw an emotion  flash in his deep orbs. Hurt , concern or guilt maybe?.
If anyone  could master  the art of being  a dickhead it was Aiden.  He quickly  happened to recover form his momentary second  of being a human.  He stood up in a lazy manner dragging  his long legs.  It was so hard! to concentrate  on kicking him out when  he is within  my proximity.   " don't give in Keiria.  Not now. " I self talk to myself as I pushed  my chin up to look into his daring eyes.
" Well i wasn't  planing  on staying  either.  It was 'Your mum' who invited  me . "He explained  to me like I was a 4 year old as he took a step closer to me. I instinctively  took a step back from him as hot tears rolled down from my eyes "get out of my hou" I stopped  mid sentence  when I heard my mom give out an exparted gasp "Keiria!  That is not the way to talk to our guest for the evening . How dare you behave in such an unruly  behavior.  Apologize  to Aiden immediately.  " my mom almost yelled at me . I shook my head firmly at her as I tried to explain  "you have no idea mom about what he said to me, about what he did t"
"No don't give me mere excuses  young lady. No matter what you both had done to each other  it is no way to treat your guest like that Keiria.  " my mom intertwined as she scouled at me for my  so-called childish behavior. 
"Now shake each other's hands and come sit down . The dinner is getting  cold"  with that my mom turned  on her heel and left us to settle  our own issues.  My mom is an old fashioned  person who thinks it is very important  to have a bit of class in whatever  we do. Sometimes  I feel like face palming myself for encouraging  her at that bizzare idea.
I sighed for a long moment before taking  a step forward  to do as my mom instructed us to do but the moment  I put my hand on his, I totally  regretted it.
Aiden smirked down at me as he pulled me towards  him and in one swift move I was crashing  into his rock like chest. He took hold of my comparatively  small frame as he whispered  into my ears "your a fiesty one aren't  you?" His voice almost unrecognizable . And then just like all other times he left me there hanging.
After two long walks from front door to the side entrance and four trips to the wash room to splash some cool water on my now flush cheeks I made my way to the dining  alley. I sat down on my chair and sulked through  the rest of the dinner. I was almost done with mine and before either of us could scream and run in the opposite  directions  , my mom cleared her throat . I looked up at her and so did Aiden. "Well it seems like a simple hand shake won't resolve the issues between  you two , I mean the tension  between  you two is so strong that I could  almost  see it with my naked eye!"  she sighed as she shook her head at us in a disapproving  manner.  "Keiria you are grounded for the next 3 weeks for your appalling  behavior  "  my mom stated in a firm manner and rose from her seats. I blinked my eyes a few times to process the things that just came out her mouth . "Oh " she continued "And Keiria ? Aiden will be staying  with us for a week or two since his parents  are out of town for a business  trip . I would  have informed you earlier but I guess my timing  is impeccable  " she said and left the hall . I almost chocked myself to death.  As I looked at Aiden wide eyed only  to see him grinning at me like a pathetic  moron . He lept from his side and was  just a mere inch away from my nose  "So I guess you are going to be seeing  a lot of my 'Fuck face' I guess "
He remarked . I couldn't  help but notice  the emphasis  he gave on the word 'fuck'. I was a  freaking hot mess of feelings and he had to make it worse. I lowered my head to prevent him from seeing  the color rising  to my cheeks . He stood up from his seat satisfied  with what he had done to me and started  walking  up the stairs.
He tilted his head giving  me a coy smile as he said  "Good night Love ".
