Reina: Here's the next fairy tale! By the way, when you see Snow White... This isn't the Snow White that many people are used to. This is a different one.

Original Fairy Tale Name: Snow White and Red Rose

Classification: N/A

Writer(s): Brothers Grimm

Once upon a time, there lived a young widow named Sophie. She lived in the woods with her two daughters Emmeryn and Lissa. Despite how close her daughters were, they were rather different children. Emmeryn preferred reading and sewing while Lissa would run outside and jump in the river for fun. Despite this, Sophie loved both of her daughters equally, and both girls did chores for their mother.

One winter day when Emmeryn and Lissa were now young adults, someone knocked on the door. Emmeryn set her sewing down and went to the door. When she opened, she gasped. It was a bear.

"Please let me in," it begged.

"No!" She yelled.

"I won't hurt you." The bear replied. "I'm freezing."

Emmeryn blinked. "I thought bears hibernated."

"I'm not your average bear," it replied.

After a few moments, Emmeryn opened the door wider and allowed the cold bear inside. The bear trotted into the house and laid down in front of the fire. It sighed happily as it began to warm up.

"Many thanks," the bear told Emmeryn. "May I ask your name?"

"Emmeryn," she replied.

"A name befitting of a princess," the bear replied.

As Emmeryn added more wood to the fire, Lissa walked into the room and saw the bear. "Who's this?" She asks Emmeryn.

"A bear," Emmeryn replied.

"Yippee!" Lissa jumped on the bear, causing him to roll over. Laughing, Emmeryn watched as Lissa began to wrestle with the bear, and ended up joining as well. After a while, the tired girls ended up going to bed, leaving the bear behind in the living room. When morning arrived, Emmeryn opened the door so that the bear could go get food.

"Will I see you again?" She asks the bear.

The bear laughed. "Of course! I'll see you again tonight."

Sure enough, the bear came back the next night and played with them. Sophie noticed this and smiled, happy to see her girls having fun wrestling. And as the winter wore on, the bear became a common visitor to their house, to the point that they began to cook him food.

One day, when winter was thawing, the bear looked at both girls with a sad look on his face.

"I'm sorry, Emmeryn and Lissa. I can't stay here."

"Why not?" Lissa whined.

"I have to protect my treasure from an evil man. If I don't, horrible things will happen."

Emmeryn nodded sadly. "Will we see you again?"

The bear smiled and gently brushed her cheek. "Of course, my beloved Emmeryn." He then trotted off to the forest and disappeared.

Spring dragged on slowly, with Emmeryn and Lissa taking care of the house. When summer appeared, however, they both decided to explore the forest.

"Let's go!" Lissa whined as Emmeryn prepared her bag.

"Give me a second," Emmeryn replied. She then looked at Lissa. "Let's go."

The two of them then walked off the woods, enjoying the scenery. Midway through, however, they heard a man calling for help.
