Original Fairy Tale Name: Gold Tree and Silver Tree

Once upon a time, there lived a king by the name of Ashnard. His wife was named Petrine, and his daughter was named Ruruki. One day, Ruruki went with her mom to a magical grove, where a fish knew everything about the world. While Ruruki ran around the grove, Petrine went to the pond and said, "Little Trout, can you come out?"
A rainbow trout poked its head out of the pond. "You rang?"
"Who is the most beautiful woman? Is it me?"
"Nope."
"What do you mean by that?" Petrine snapped.
"Ruruki is more beautiful." With that said, the trout went back underneath the water, its job now complete.
Petrine was full of anger. How dare her daughter have better looks than her! This rage was bottled inside of her when she returned home. As she laid down on her bed, she wanted to make her daughter pay.
Ashnard returned home that night, only to hear that Petrine was sick. He dashed to her bedside and asked, "What happened?"
"I... Feel ill."
"Is there anything that I can do?" Ashnard asked.
"Yes... I want to eat out daughter's heart and liver."
Being ill gives my wife disturbing thoughts... Ashnard thought as he walked away. He couldn't exactly kill Ruruki, and he wanted to keep her safe.
What to do...?
As Ashnard mulled over this, he saw someone enter his court. It was Prince Takumi, Ruruki's boyfriend and younger prince of Hoshido.
"Hello, King Ashnard," Takumi stated.
Ashnard smiled. "Hello Takumi. May I ask what you're here for?"
Takumi shifted awakwardly. "Well... Since Ruruki-Chan and I are dating, I was asking if you would give your blessing for us to get married."
Perfect.
"Yes, marry her," Ashnard stated quickly.
Takumi frowned. "Why the urgency?"
"If Ruruki stays here any longer, she'll die."
Nodding, Takumi ran to Ruruki, and they set off to Hoshido to get married. To help his wife, King Ashnard had a goat killed, and proceeded to feed his wife the heart and the liver. After the food, Petrine felt better and more beautiful, unaware of the fact that she had been deceived.
Meanwhile, Ruruki was living happily with Takumi, but she worried that her mother might come after her.
A year passed, and Petrine returned to the pond to talk to the fish. "Little trout, can you come out?"
"You rang?" The rainbow trout asked.
"Am I the most beautiful woman in the world?" She asked.
"Nope."
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?" Petrine asked.
"Your daughter is more beautiful. She's happily married to Prince Takumi, who happens to be possessive of her, and she is loyal to him."
