Once upon a time, there lived a woman by the name of Mikoto, who lived with her husband Sumeragi. They lived in a small house that was close to a luscious garden. They originally ignored it, but when Mikoto got pregnant, the only thing she craved was the lettuce in the garden. Eager to make his wife happy, Sumeragi would frequently break into the garden to grab the lettuce. He was successful in doing so several times, and so he got cockier with each break in.

One day when Sumeragi was gathering the lettuce, he heard a laugh. He wiped around to see an old woman standing there, glaring at him.

"How dare you break into my garden and steal my lettuce!" The witch accused.

"I'm sorry!" Sumeragi replied. "This is for my wife!"

"Why would your wife need that?" The witch muttered. "There are plenty of other places to steal from."

"It's what my wife is craving for her pregnancy!" Sumeragi spat without thinking.

It all became clear to the witch. "Ah... I see." She waved to him. "Take all the lettuce you need. On one condition."

"Anything," Sumeragi begged.

The witch smiled. "Give me your firstborn child."

After several months, a young boy was born to Sumeragi and Mikoto. Before they could name him, the witch, Candice snatched him away and named him Takumi. She began to raise the child, who was rather bubbly and content with handsome features.

When Takumi turned twelve years old, Candice locked Takumi in a tower with only one window. The only way to the enter the tower was through the window.

Candice, being a truly despicable woman, made Takumi grow his hair out for her to climb. Everyday, she would stay at the base of the tower and yell-

"Takumi! Takumi! Throw down your hair, as I didn't build you a flight of stairs!"

And so Takumi would throw his hair down for Candice to visit him.

After several years, a young princess was visiting the forest. Her name was Elice, and she loved everything cute. When she was looking for a pet bunny, she heard a male singing.

🎵"You are the ocean's gray waves, destined to seek life beyond the shore, just out of reach."🎵

"Who's that?" Elise wondered to herself. "I have to see who it is!"

She ran to the source of the singing.

🎵"Yet the waters ever change.... Flowing like time, the path is yours to climb."🎵

Elise finally found the tower and saw Takumi. She was enchanted by his appearance.

"He's so adorable!" Elise squealed. She looked around for a way to talk to him, but failed to do so. Frustrated, Elise looked back up at the tower.
