Also, thank you DWN024ShadowMan for the amazing cover!

This is a "cleaner" version of the story, simply because I'm sparing the wolf for this story, and it is a "canon" fairy tale.

Original Fairy Tale Name: Little Red Riding Hood

Classification: 333

Writer(s): Charles Perrault (later adapted by the Brothers Grimm)

Once upon a time there was a young girl named Kana. She lived with her mother Felicia near the woods, where every day she played near the river.

One day, her mother handed her a red cape that was made by her cousin Forrest. As Kana put it on and spun around in it, her mother laughed.

"I'm glad that you like it," Felicia smiled. "You look pretty in it."

"Thank you, Mommy," she replied.

"Thank Forrest," she replied. "He stitched it together furiously." After a few minutes, she handed her daughter a basket. "Can you take this basket to your Grandmother, Mikoto?"

Kana nodded excitedly. "Yes!"

Felicia smiled. "Good. Now, remember to take the normal route to her house, and don't talk to any strangers."

Kana nodded and skipped out of the house. She took the well-beaten path and hummed to herself, unaware of the fact that she was being watched.

"Hello," a voice behind her called,

She turned around and forgot her mother's warning. "Hi there, Mr. Wolf!"

The wolf-man shook his head. "I'm not a wolf. I'm Keaton."

"Hi there, Mr. Keaton!" She replied.

"Mind if I ask where you're going?"

Kana nodded. "I'm going to see Grandma!"

"That's so sweet," Keaton replied. "Is that basket for her?"

Kana nodded. "Yep!"

"You know," Keaton mused, "you can take a shortcut to the left and pick up some flowers for your grandmother."

Kana's eyes lit up. "Really? Thanks!" She turned around and ran off to the path that Keaton had taken, unaware of the fact that she was taking a longer route.

Keaton laughed as she disappeared. He whipped around and went to the right, where there was a shortcut to Mikoto's house that neither Kana or her mother were aware of.

When Keaton knocked on Mikoto's door, Mikoto opened it, expecting to see Kana or Felicia. When she saw the wolf, she gaped.

"You're not my granddaughter!" She accused.

"Move!" Keaton grabbed her and locked her in the closet. Spying some of Mikoto's clothes laying out, Keaton put them on and climbed into her bed, waiting to steal Kana's basket of goodies.

After a few minutes, Kana opened the door and happily skipped in. "Hiya Grandma!"

"Hello sweetie," Keaton replied in a high pitched voice.

Kana frowned and approached Keaton. "Grandma..."

"Yes...?" Keaton replied.

"Your voice is deeper than normal."

"It's just for a better greeting, sweetie."

"You have humongous eyes."

"I need to see you clearly," Keaton replied.

"Wow!" Kana put her basket on the ground and picked up one of Keaton's hands. "You have big hands!"

"I need to be able to hug you," Keaton replied.

Kana stared at Keaton in horror. "You have a huge mouth!"

"I need to-" Keaton began to yell before an arrow broke the window and missed Keaton by an inch.

Both Kana and Keaton froze in shock. A voice echoed through the forest.

"Daddy! You made me miss the deer!"

"Kiragi, it was an accident," an older man replied as the door began to open. "Let's go apologize to the nice-" A man with long hair opened the door and eyed Keaton. "Hey!"

Keaton panicked and ran out of the house, leaving Kana with the two hunters.

The long haired man looked at Kana. "Are you alright?"

"Uh-huh. But my grandma's gone. Mr...?"

"Takumi." He looked at his son. "Kiragi, can you find the grandmother?"

Kiragi nodded and dashed around the house, eventually opening the closet, allowing Mikoto to fall out of the closet.

"Grandma!" Kana yelled as she ran to Mikoto.

"Kana!" Mikoto got off the floor and hugged her granddaughter. She looked up at Kiragi and Takumi. "Thank you."

Takumi nodded. "You're welcome." He then nodded to Kiragi, leaving Mikoto and Kana in the house.

And Keaton was never seen again.

The End.
