Chapter 19- Brother Sister Bonding

Matt's pov- Jackson is adjusting very well. He loves Annabel, and Annabel loves him. We took Jackson to the firehouse for the first time. Gabby got Annabel out of her rear facing car seat and Jackson hopped out of the car. Annabel grabbed Jackson's hand and said, "Hurry Jackson!" She's always in a hurry to get inside. We all walked inside. Severide said, "Who's the little man?" "This Jackson!" Annabel said. "This is Jackson, and we recently adopted him!" I said.
Gabby told Annabel and Jackson to go outside and play. Of course Annabel goes tumbling around, since she is a dancer and gymnast. She's such a diva.
"Look at how sweet those two are with each other!" Brett said , walking up to us. "Yeah, he's so protective over Annabel." Gabby said. "Oh trust me, when she gets older and the boys start coming, she's gonna have more than her brother and I after them." I said. "Definitely."
Jackson and Annabel came in soon. "Annabel got sleepy so I brought her inside." "How sweet." I picked her up and she fell asleep.
Once we left, Jackson said, "Mom, dad, thanks for taking me to work today." "This won't be the only time you'll go."
