Chapter 12- Annabel Turns 2!

Narrator's pov- The day finally arrived. Annabel's 2nd birthday. Matt and Gabby went to their toddler and got her out of her crib. "Happy birthday Monkey!" They both said. "Mama! Dada!" Matt and Gabby smiled. "Let's get MonkeyBug dressed." Gabby said. Matt walked to Annabel's closet at home and grabbed her outfit for her birthday. (Pictured above) Gabby got her dressed and did her hair while Matt made her special birthday breakfast. Gabby let her toddler run to her daddy. "Special birthday breakfast for the birthday girl! Pink pancakes and pink eggs!" "Yay!"
Matt and Gabby put the toddler in her rear facing car seat and off they were to the firehouse.
Once they arrived, they set everything up for Annabel's party while Annabel watched Bubble Guppies.
The party lasted for hours. Everyone looked at all of Annabel's baby pictures. Once it was over, Matt and Gabby helped clean up and walked over to the common room to see Annabel asleep on the couch, right on top of Severide. "Let me get her off of you." Gabby said reaching down to the sleeping toddler. "Nah, it's okay. Let her nap. Birthday girl has had a long day."
Once she woke up, Matt and Gabby said goodbye to everyone and went home.
On the way home, they had a conversation. "I can't believe she is 2 years old." "I know, it's crazy how fast time went by." "Yeah." Once they got home, they put Annabel in her crib and just looked at their toddler. They've had a long journey with her, and it's not over yet.
