Narrator pov- A few months later, Anna was trying to be a normal kid, but really couldn't. Eva, Antonio's daughter got her to clime a tree near the firehouse. When they were up there, the branch started to break. "Anna, I want you to go to that little hole in the tree and stand there." As Anna got over there, the hole in the tree widened and Anna fell through the tree, landing at the bottom inside of the tree. She was knocked unconscious. Eva got down the tree quickly and ran to the firehouse. "Aunt Gabby! Uncle Matt!" "What?" "Anna fell into the tree. The branch broke and she fell in." Everyone in the firehouse raced out. They sent the ladder up and Herrmann volunteered to go in. Boden wouldn't let Matt or Gabby do anything. Boden radioed Main. "51 to main, we need the airlift from Med. ASAP." "Main to 51, airlift on way. Destination?" "51 to main, Boston Children's Hospital." "Main to 51, copy. Airlift on route now."
Four hours later, Herrmann was able to get to Anna. "Anna, I'm coming to get you!" He said. No response. "Chief, she's not responding. I can't even tell if she's breathing. I don't think she is." Herrmann got Anna to where they could pull her out. "Let's get her out of here!" Herrmann yelled. They pulled them up and Anna was placed in a gurney. Dr. Manning felt for a rhythm. "She's got a heart beat. She's breathing."
Gabby got into the copter with Anna and they flew her to Boston. Everyone from 51 got in the trucks and drove there. Matt and Gabby waited on the doctor to tell them news.
